With a little difficulty.
Some channels open easily, some others not at all.

Has anyone tried this plugin in older devices?
For example on DM800SE?
Is it installed and works?
On DM800se - OK

Can you swap buttons "Account info" and "Portals" to make it easier to switch from "Portals" to "Live TV"?

I already installed openpli-8 in the above way as external image to usb stick (whole and not divided), using openmultiboot or multiminiboot.
The image works normally, but I don't have a network connection, either with LAN or WLAN.
-
I do not know if it is worth dealing with this image because it has no network connection.
I couldn't connect to the internet (even with cable).
But if you want to install it on usb/hdd, there is an easier way than the above
(the image is divided into two parts so that it can be extended to flash and usb/hdd).
1. Download "OpenPLi-enigma2-r8-bartoma55-dm800se-sim2-ssl84D.zip" and unzip it.
2. Copy the file "openpli-enigma2-r8-bartoma55-dm800se-sim2-ssl84D.sh" to the Linux OS and run it.
You'll get "openvision.zip." Open it, it contains the .sh and .tar files.
3. Install "openpli-enigma2-r8-bartoma55-dm800se-sim2-ssl84D.nfi" as usual.
4. Before rebooting, go to the openpli image and delete the following symlinks (shortcuts):
share (usr/), enigma2 (usr/lib/) and python2.7 (usr/lib/).
5. Open "openpli-enigma2-r8-bartoma55-dm800se-save.tar.gz" and copy the folders that contains
in the appropriate places.

You have to install "uudecode" which is in the package "sharutils".
To install this, open a console and type this command:
sudo apt-get install sharutils
-
It also works with MultiMiniBoot.

These drivers are not compatible with Neutrino.
I tried following commands with Telnet:
opkg update
opkg install kernel-module-r8712u
opkg install firmware-rtl8712u
reboot
Modules 3.9.6 have been installed that contain Wlan driver, but in the menu I have no choice for WLAN.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'll try it again.
-
Network is OK with Ethernet, but there is no wi-fi.
How do I enable WLAN driver (rtl8712u)?
Μenu item "Settings > Extened Settings > Kernel Options" is missing.

In the Receiver Bios you must set the boot order to start the usb before the internal flash.
Read first post, paragraph 4.
-- Make your receiver (dm800se sim2) to boot from usb --.
Click on the link to get detailed instructions on how to do it (Bios configuration - DM 800HD se):
Primary boot source: usb [/autoexec_dm800se.bat]
Secondary boot source: flash
Enable USB support: [ENABLED]

OpenNFR 6.4 works normally.
It was my fault that I was changing the flash images, deleting one and placing the other.
Maybe some hidden files were in conflict.
I used a clean Boot-USB and put as flash image the NFR 6.4.
-
I installed OpenNFR 6.4 as "flash image".
I tried many times but I couldn't configure the NFRXBoot. The image hangs during reboot.
No problem with 6.3.
I'll try again another day.
-
You need to install OpenNFR 6.3 with OMB and then change the flash image. You will not need to change vmlinux.
How to install .nfi image on OMB is described in a thread of the DM800se section (I don't remember where).
-
This is 6.3. I don't have 6.4 for this box.
