i have started at this again and im determined to get my server up and running.
its running debian oscam with ccam and a smargo reader. i am able to view the cards entitlements in oscam but im not sure how to port forard to to my dyndns account? everytime i log onto my dyndns account it takes me straight to my router 192.168.1.1 instead of my server, what am i doing wrong surely im close to dishing a cline for one of u guys to test?
-
Yes my dns account is up and running
-
Ok I think I'm nearly there. I have a dm500 clone flash with a pli image with a cline and I want to know is it possible to test it at home to see it works via the Internet rathEr than via an internal network so I don't give it to someone and it doesn't work. I have Oscam reading entitllements and ccam both seem to be running fine on my server
I'm confused as I don't know what all I need to do next?
-
Hi folks can you recommend me which PLi image I should flash my dm500 clone with? I've been on openpli.org but there's about 20 images below? I don't want to flash a bad image! Help please
-
Where is the best place to buy dm500 clones and how much lads
-
Cheers fellas I'm gonna get another dm500 as it's being replaced free of charge then in the near future ill go for a decent receiver.

You could try flashing with this image "Erase Img 500-56x0" with the null modem cable:
Erase Img 500-56x0.rarIf that works, I would suggest again Flashing your desired image with DreamUp
DreamUP1.3.3.4.rarI use this image on my DM500..
http://linuxsat-support.com/dm…m500-release-renwich.htmlSteps to follow when Flashing with Dreamup using null modem cable.
1.. Confirm your null modem cable port no. eg Com1, Com3 etc.. To do this open up Device manager, Go down to Ports section, There you should see your null modem cable Com number. Com**
2.. Start up DreamUp 1.3.3.4
3.. Select your Port number retrieved in Step1
4.. Connect your unplugged DM500 to your Host PC with null modem cable.
5.. Click Connect
6.. Plug in your Dreambox
7.. Select Image & let it work away.Could you also tell us what message you get in DreamUp window after Step 6 above..
If you get your DM500 back up and running with the null modem cable, I would suggest flashing with DreamBox-OptiFlasher-v1.0.2 addached Below..Best of luck, Let me know how you got on.
Tried it mate no joy. Doing a lot of reading up on it and from what I understand the basic instructions in the flash memory have been wiped or the flash chip is goosed, I have contacted the seller Espow.com and they are happy to replace it which is good news, do you think I should upgrade to a better box from this supplier bearing in mind my first box is only to test my server? What would u recommend
-
ok i flashed my dm500 clone via network with a recommended pli image and it froze and became non responsive. now using a null modem cable and dreamup after installing the flash loader it stalls with the message: upload completed waiting for acknowledgement. i have tried all the different versions of dreamup and sunray to flash but still the same. i even found a forum with a small program called an enforcer to force a flash after the: upload completed waiting for acknowledgement message but then as the image is being uploaded it stops with the error aborted!
i have no idea what else i can do to retrieve this box. i believe its the flash loader isnt being installed or the box is non responsive at all????
Maybe try a different version, ¿why not try ten below´s e1 ***k ready backup??
I have tried differ et versions of everything mate. Dreamup, Sunray and images. The box will not even ping? What exactly is this e1 backup by ten? Where would you recommend I get a decent cheap dm clone

Alritey folks I have my server up and running but I haven't proved it works yet as I'm having probs with my dm500. I flashed it with a PLi image last week via network and it froze so today I got my null modem USB cable and when I start it on dreamup it installs the flash loader but stalls giving the message:"upload completed waiting for acknowledgement". Now doing a bit of research I understand I need to use Sunray to flash it but can someone recommend me a stable image for my dm500 clone. Cheers

mack3rs,
You will have a Cccam.cfg file on your server in /var/etc folder
This version of Cccam file will have all the extra info you talk about! At the bottom of this file (on the server) you will write a line to your box (s)
You should already have a line connecting Oscam to Cccam after that you write your lines for your usersThen you create a Cccam.cfg file with just the corrosponding line for the box (1 single line) and upload that to your box via ftp or Usb)
This in theroy connects it all up!
The fact you have reader showing and Entitllements means your almost there....
Just ensure that you set the correct paramaters for you lines
Basic format as follows:
C: or N: your.ip.address portNo username password then after that the fun bit depending on how you want to share/reshare e.t.c
See below :
that first bit clears some up as i was getting confused. what does the line at the bottom of the server file look like?
nearly there!

Create the directory, first command creates it, second makes it user writable.
The only file you need is CCcam.cfg, you will find it in /var/etc, if its not there use this HERE - CCcam.cfg file for newbies.
im confused. my dm500 is preloaded with gemini, do i download cccam directly from the box? the cccam.cfg example file i downloaded has lots of info on it yet following the above tut i read that the cccam.cfg file only needs a c line (is this only for an internal share)?
my server is reading my card in the smargo reader. its got 9 entitlements but i dont know what i have to do next, what is my next step lads?
-
I don't have a folder called cccam in /home? Do I create one?
What files do I need for my dm500 clone?

How To Add Lines To Linux Server Using CS Studio.
How to setup an internal share w/ CCcam. (Basic Guide Only), skip the first step and start from, Next go to CCcam.cfg and add your F line to the box which you will provide the share from.
cheers bud. my problem earlier was that i never installed the linux driver for my smargo and also i was looking in the wrong usb port

ok i have a dm500 clone can you recommend a good tut

These locations are for receivers, FTP your oscam config files to /usr/local/etc and CCcam.cfg to home/cccam.
How To Add Lines To Linux Server Using CS Studio.
Use the configs from HERE - How to : Oscam Cardreader with CCcam2.1.3 S*Y UK.
Edit oscam.server to match your cardreader.

Post any errors you find from the log in oscam webinfo.
