at the end i managed to sort it out thanks to ABU suggestion

mkfs.ext4 -F -L data /dev/mmcblk0p3

i put the above command to telnet and did it things and then flashed online straight from pure2 to openatv7.6 and BINGO all good

i am glad it sorted i was getting my hammer to tweek the box as a last resort LOL

i did that to the letter

1.power off the back and thouch the front till rescue mode pops up

2.did a recovery online ( up to now original image installed )

3.back to rescue mode to install OAT7.6 from file on pc ending with bz2 untick the 2 boxes below for not save the old settings....

4.loader says image loaded succesfully by the box doen't boot up and stuck with blue screen error as posted before.

if i flash a pure2 image it's absolutely fine box reboot normally.

that's why i am baffled with it it's only happen with open atv7.6 in my case any other image is fine.

the boot loader in my box is #103 .

when i put the above command to update it it's still shows 103 after update the only different is the pic of the ship on firmware.

can any one send the latest update firmware for the loader dreambox dm900

yes when i try to flash from 6.0 to 7.5 it shows when it's boot up 7.6 even some other images like HDF still show up 7.6 that's why i am baffeld with it i just gave up till something come up.

no it's not a multiboot system

i did try that from an old OAT 6.0 To 7.6 and it just get stuck in boot trying to boot up hence keep getting the blue error screen

i have the pure2 in the box

and i can't see these conflicting files when i navigate

i only use 2 ways for installing images

1 dreambox loader

2 flash online from an image.

OAT 7.6 does not load up it's stuck on boot and the strange thing aswell if i flash an old OAT 5.0 OR 6.2 from old back ups they load up fine

may be i ll wait for future releases and hope for the best

when i do the recovery online i make sure that the the 2 boxes are not tickked so i can have a clean flash even though i still get stuck in boot mode as i reported in previous posts

any other image is fine

now i have the pure2 in the dm900 which is working.

but the box is not having the open ATV7.6

Maybe the open ATV team can shed some light about this issue

sometimes i try to do recovery online to erase any conflicting files even though it's still stuck in boot mode

( open atv 7.6) other images are fine .

no i didn't i am not that tech savy to do so.

i only flash the whole image one by one no transfer for files and stuff like that.

it would be nice to be back on openatv 7.6

is there any one in the foum where somebody can sort this even if i have to send the box

i don't know how to explain this i do download the image i have bee doing for the last 10+ years .

the image does get installed but the receiver doesn't start normally it's stuck in boot mode....

it's only happen when i download open ATV7.6 py3

other images are fine

some images do download for ex HDF but when the box boot up it does it with open atv7.6 strange????

old open ATV images py2 are fine the issue in my case is with 7.6

any more suggestions would be great thanks

i only flash images mainly one at the time with recover mode through the dreambox loader i do not use multiboot plugins

As i said in my previous posts

i can not install open ATV 7.6 i can only install pure2 or open pli images.

the only open atv images i can install are the old ones PY2 not the new ones.

at the moment i have pure2 installed in the box which is working fine

the open atv7.6 can not be installed even after putting the original dream box image ( recovery online ) and flash straigh away .....

i did delete all the skins and left only the estuary one but still same problem no restart stuck in boot mode

my dreambox dm900 still stuck withe openatv image7.6 in boot mode the box keep rebooting itself without starting the only image i manage to install through the flash online option is pure2 and openpli any other image just come on as openatv 7.6.....

i have attached some pics to have a look

as i mentioned before there is something wrong with this firmware opnatv7.6

once i flash the image the box just keeps rebooting all the time

i have used the recovery image for my dm900 but nothing changes even when i try to flash openhdf image it does flash successfully but when the box reboot it reboots with openatv7.6 . the only image that i am stuck with now is pure2 which works fine not much updates with this image.
