Is there an official support page where the Jahphar DM900 images are released ?

I see some of the other japhar sims allow flashing with official DM images I guess that's not possible with this ? Only Japhar images supported ?
Sorry for the questions I really know nothing about these...
-
Do Japhar Sim images also update all the system drivers (like a genuine Dreambox) or are these essentially patched images able to work with the last Sim2.30 driver set ?

So I had a peek around back and was pulling gently on the power cord to find out which plug was for the dm900 and it came right out because (and I don't remember this...) it had the Euro plug plugged into the adapter for NA. Came right out. These adapters are terrible there is almost no resistance plugging them in or pulling them out.
Replaced that end of the power brick with a standard computer cable and plugged everything back in. Hopefully that's all it was.

Froze up again yesterday. Where are the crashlogs located ?
And yes, I'm using the original power supply.
-
So the drivers AND the image must be compatible ? Can you explain more about that ?
I've been having a problem for a long time where my clone just freezes up and needs a hard power-cycle and it works again for varying lengths of time. I've put up with it thinking maybe it's a hardware issue but I think I can rule that out with an official stock sim2:30 flash. No longer downloadable as you've pointed out...
Thanks for your input on this.

Two questions.
1. Is it safe to write the official firmware from dreamboxupdate.com to a clone box ? I know it won't boot because of the drivers but will it overwrite the rescue partition or otherwise do damage preventing a subsequent normal sim2.30 flash ?
2. Are the drivers completely "untethered" from the firmware/kernel level such that it doesn't matter the age of the drivers vs the age of the image you are trying to flash to the clone ?
Thanks

It's been a while since I flashed an image, can I do this through the recovery console or is this meant to be loaded in multiboot (barry allen) ?
Also, what is the proper way to make a full backup image like a nandroid backup ? Thanks

Are you saying you cannot use an old /lib file (old drivers) with a new image ? That they have to match ?
-
Ok so knowing that I don't understand why it's important for the clone box maker to release new images since anyone can make their own by replacing the lib/modules folder. In fact maybe that's all they do.

It sounds like there are three methods discussed here for flashing a dm900 clone
1. Use a Sim 2.30 image from dreamnew.co.uk
2. Install Barry Allen then load original images into flash
3. Using a stock clone (no Barry Allen) flash an original image then ftp lib/modules from clone image before rebooting.
Is this correct or does #3 not exist, only #1 and #2 ?
-
I am confused.
Do you have to install Barry Allen to use original image on dm900 clone ?
Or
Can you flash original image and overwrite lib/modules before rebooting ? Is this enough or does it only work with Barry Allen installed ?

I'm asking if you can skip the last step if you transfer the folder to the image BEFORE flashing.
Has anyone tried it ?
Read again please. If you remake the image WITH the clone drivers THEN flash THEN reboot will it work ?
-
If you can really just overwrite the lib/modules folder on non-clone image why is this project even necessary ?

I think so. But do not forget to copy the directory /dir first and only then restart.

Copy from inside clone image - http://dreamnew.co.uk . Use 7zip program to unzip the image.
For gemini, dreamelite, merlin and newnigma user /lib from gemini image (clone). For openatv, openpli, use /lib from openpli or openatv clone image - http://dreamnew.co.uk . Install original imag, but dont reboot until not copy /lib.Will this not work if you unzip Original image and replace lib/modules with Sim 2.30 lib/modules then zip back to tar.xz and flash like normal ?

Yes take a picture of the motherboard and post it here. I was not aware there were dm920 clones already but I suppose not much difference from the 900

Those are not Stream Relay links at the bottom of your screen shots above ?

Why Stream Relay ?

That is bizarre.
