Ok so I tried to sort this on the ***Box F3 but no luck...the Nline and Cline are active but the Cline seems to be the one that gets forwarded first...What can I do so the Nline is used first and the Cline as a back up? Tried the Mgcamd setup but not sure what to do?

Did you try in the Mgcam configuration to edit the network shares priority ?

    MGCAMD

    # network shares priority
    # 00 gbox, newcamd, cccamd, radegast, camd3 (default)
    # 01 camd3, radegast, cccamd, gbox, newcamd
    # 02 cccamd, newcamd, camd3, gbox, radegast
    P: { 02 }

In first part of the tutorial there is the command ...

    apt-get install sun-java6-jdk

Was the installation of java completed with no errors ? I`m asking this because you`re getting a java error from what i see in your post.

In my parents receiver I have two lines, one is an Nline and one is a Cline. I have the Nline first then the Cline. I have the Cline as a backup, which protocol will be used first? the Nline or the Cline, it is on a ***Box F3. I ask this because the Cline is only there as backup so I want the Nline to be used the majority of the time

Sorry can you elaborate on this please

Allow me to try help you on this.
The moderator Banny clearly and very wisely suggest you to use MGcam in your receiver.
Mgcam is a very good client protocol and will work perfect in your case.
Take a look at the priorities section that Banny included in his post, and if you deside to use Mgcam select the one that suits you.

    thanks for that mate

my pc has 4gig memory, so would 64bits the best to use?

were would be the best plase to download a copy for?

In my opinion install a 32bit version.

Sorry i can`t lead you to where you can download a copy, but remember google is your best friend.

    hi all

need to format me pc, going to download a copy of windows 7, what is the different when some says 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64)?

were is the best place download from?

The core of the operating system is different my friend and as the title says the first is 32bits while the second is 64bits.
This means that in order to load to your system a 64bits core you need the appropriate hardware meaning processor memory etc.
Also the drivers for your devices must be 64bit drivers. The 64bit core uses higher memory configurations, while 32bit uses only 4gig of memory. No matter how big memory you install it will only use 4gig .These are some of the differences, actually there are more,i just try to give you the basic idea.

Thank so much for the tutorial.
How can I downgrade the CCcam to 2.0.11 version?
    e
    Thanks in advance

It`s simple my friend.First off all find a pack that contains the CCcam version you want.Connect to the pc running CCcam with ftp and replace at var/bin the executable file CCcam and the script files contained in the directories /script and /uninstall

I think that the staff,Admin and moderators covered all your major questions,so i will try to answer only the last one.
A fair pc configuration for me would be a pentium4 / 3.0 ,with 1G of ram and a sata hard disk.
A clean Debian installation no graphic desktop, just the web server you need, and after than an OScam and CCcam installation will do the job for you.
Believe me i have done that and it`s running like a charm
A lot of well written guides are in the relative areas of the forum of how to do all off the above.

hi all, does anyone know how to stop my dns ip from changing itself rANDOMLY?

Just guessing from your thread title ( dns updater ) do you probably mean how to change the dns updater timing, meaning how often it refreshes ?
If you mean that the answer is no my friend you can`t change the timing of the updater. It is self adjusted to refresh at certain time intervals and if you update too often manually i mean ,you get a message from dyndns ( NOCHG if i recall ) that if you receive too many of these messages you will have a problem.

Even thought my friend i`m a big fan of dreamboxes,i would agree with the rest of the answering posts, and go for a vu+ solo.
It`s a great piece of hardware with a fair price, and you will enjoy it .

I had an exactly same case with two cards,( i really don`t know if the system matters, but it was different, one i***** and one v****** card ).
My initial configuration was one very close to yours, and the updating problem was solved exactly the way master G suggested, meaning by giving each [reader] its own [account], separate group, with differant user & password.
It reminded my issue which was solved like this,so i thought it would be handy to confirm it.

I would suggest only the addition of Oscam my friend.

    multichoice version kappa 5.7 iderto

hello it is possible to share this card if yes with systheme have to use tkyou

The issue with this card is more than clear during the last months period my friend.
I suppose from your writings, that you own one of the remaining, non paired or non married as many people call them 5.7 kappa version cards.
This card can be shared through CCcam or even better OScam but remember that only one sid at a time. This means that if you share the card your clients can see only one channel at a time.If a client requests to view a second channel the card will be locked for a certain period of time and will be auto unlocked after that.
So either you sid lock it so only one channel can be viewed by you and your peers,or you don`t share it at all and keep it for your personal use with no locks.
This happened recently when the provider upgraded all cards over the air to patch level 15 establishing this status.

    Hi Master G,

I got it working, just a matter of being patient and could not spot anything obvious. I am using the latest black hole image on an ultimo using CCcam 2.14 . Not sure if there is anything I can do to improve the glitchiness though, perhaps look at methods to improve buffering maybe?

Thanks again to you and satmaniac for taking the time to look after a relative novice albeit hopefully a quick study, it is much appreciated.

Great news my friend,we are all happy you made it.You can also be more specific of what sort of things you want to improve in order to be able to help you.
Also a friendly advise as already the forum staff asked you, make your post introducing yourself in the forum. It`s just one minute job.
Regards and i say again happy you sort it out.

Done all of this and still no joy, tried the restart too not sure what is missing and would be grateful for a steer in the right direction. Thanks in advance

Allow me to say that the guide and the whole procedure,is very straight forward and 100% working,so please try it again, and check if you missed something that leads you to the conclusion that it`s not working.
Regards and better luck next time you try it.
