I connect each device individually, if I need them through VPN, to a server of my choice, encryption is either IKEv2 (laptop with Winblows, for instance) or OpenVPN in my STBs, IKEv2 in Android, also.
It all works, from normal browsing to torrenting, streaming...

Short tutorial for Surfshark OpenVPN in PurE2
Remote control button MENU > Setup > System > Network > OpenVPN setup > OK button, confirm to download and install.
Since you are here: in Network setup > Nameserver settings (see post no. 32 above)...
Then, make a folder in your STB > use FileZilla Client, for instance, to connect and FTP into it > etc folder > right-click on it > Create new folder > name it: openvpn > right click and change file attributes to 755, like so...
Now, copy these 2 files (previously made on your PC from ovpn file given to you by SurfShark) to openvpn folder you just made.
I explained the details in a post (no. 17) above, how to make those 2 files...
Restart PurE2.
Start OpenVPN service like this...

Check your new address, according to the server you chose and the 10.8.8.x address which is the mark of the Surfshark VPN address (given to your STB by Surfshark VPN service).

No need to "move the skin". Other skins, as good as they may be, might not have the full functionality, esp. with FNC plugins, that is the major issue if one tries to change the skin, for instance... It's a bit of a problem, if one is stuck with another skin, since some things are neatly integrated in PurE2, I suppose...
PurE2 has a little plugin to direct the image to where your picons are, no need for Telnet commands, all done via remote controller... As most things can be done in PurE2 - easy-peasy... :)

Try PurE2 and in MENU > Setup > System > Video settings try >
Display 4:3 content as Pillarbox.
What did you choose during Wizard, for type of "connection/cable"?
Not "direct" but via modem/router or switch?
Make sure FTP and Telnet functions are running in Menu > System > Network!
Restart!
Check your address in pManager > Network > General info
Login details for FTP and Telnet:
username = root
password = pure2
I use:
FileZilla Client for FTP
PuTTy for Telnet.
If you are using v. 6.3 and it simply doesn't work, go back to PurE2 v. 6.2 and try.
Don't worry, it will work!
Something like SW Manager > Advanced > install packages > NTFS kernel module and maybe?
Backup its contents and then reformat the HDD into EXT4... Better!

It is different with multifocal dished with 2 reflectors...
To me 16E is the most important, so I am starting at 39E and going to 7W (not using that one but the last one I use is 5W).
That makes 16E the central satellite for me. But we'll fix the 1.9, thanx! :)
I have - in that area - 10/9E, then 5E, 1.9E, followed by 0.8/1W etc.
One puts 1.9E in the centre of 3 LNBs and then improvises with 5/4.8E and 0.8/1W around it:
