From what I can see, I can advise you to choose another image or at least another skin, PurE2 and/or Estuary are not for you, sorry... You have not started from scratch, you are constantly jumping in the middle and then... problems...

You do not realise that you are NOT clearing old stuff from your head when you are approaching new stuff. You can not DEMAND new stuff behaves like old stuff you are used to. Period. Hence my "tutorials" and help in so many ways. But I can only do so much, if one closes down and pigheadedly insists on what he expects - instead of "how do I do this" attitude...

    Sorry, I get off here...

    1) PiG is NOT included in PurE2 Estuary skin other than as an aforementioned "transparency"... Our skinner was the first to make 64b skins and they are already big, so he doesn't want to make it even bigger, as we support various boxes, some of which do not have plenty of space. If yours does, add another skin, if you really want it. As I mentioned, the skin is seriously malleable and that means big, as well.

Posts around post no. 80 give you how to add and setup another skin which has what you need (if you do not want a full transparency type of PiG) - and it will work, tested!

    2) EPG at my end opens on the current satellite channel I'm viewing by default. And so does a channel list, whichever coloured button I choose it will open on satellite/channel/bouquet/provider I am currently on. No idea what you are doing... Just press up or down button around the OK button and then a coloured button for the channel.

And for EPG? I set up my EPG button to open the MultiEPG like so:

    3) "Weather Location: Always showing Heidelberg Germany. Tried a few codes from the net, used my old openatv code. No joy. How to?"

    Oh, c'mon ... Seriously?

    MENU > PLUGINS > ESTUARY > Weather plugin > MENU > EDIT > write your town's name > Search code > OK > OK > BACK > EXIT > SAVE > Restart...

    4) OSCam: PurE2 general flashing/setup tutorial... => images 28 - 32. "Do it slow" means "do as you read, step by step"... You'll get there, guaranteed!

Forget about ipk, FCOL! Just do as you are shown it works, don't go round inventing hot water...

Config files are in here: PowerVU config files for oscam-emu

The same images are there, also to tell you how to get latest OSCam Emu from the feed = MENU > PLUGINS > green button. Or MENU > PMANAGER > Install CamD...

    5) DreamboxEDIT to send your channel list to PurE2. https://dreamboxedit.com/category/download/

    6) PiP? Achhh... PurE2 general flashing/setup tutorial... > posts no. 4 & 5. And yes, you really should do the ABC first, like MENU > SETUP > SERVICE SEARCHING > TUNER CONFIG, which must be done properly, at the very start of setting it all up. PiP is based on the - basics...

    7) The home forum for PurE2, HDSC has German by default but if you choose English in Edit profile > Settings > Sprache/Language> English....

If not, write to Admin, see if only German is displayed for you by default. It ain't for me but you never know... Have you confirmed your email address?

Btw, there are plenty of threads and individual posts in English... What do you get if you search for my posts/threads?

    8) So, let's clear out the essential point here: E2 is complex and it gives you choices, so you can set it up the way you want. I like that. I know that in that case one must learn. There is another problem, then: in psychology we call it "negative transfer", when old stuff interferes with learning new stuff. Clear your head for new stuff, m8. As a friendly advice. You will make it easier on yourself. Don't expect to find your old house when you enter a new one. You'd be walking into walls... Seriously speaking: you have it upside-down in this respect.

    9) Dolby Digital has to do with drivers, not E2 flavours, at least in any "normal" situation...

    10) No offence, m8, but please be a bit more attentive, as it is not fun having to do this individually for each of you, every time all over again, whenever anyone demands it, just because you don't want to search a bit and read... And it is here, I even pointed it out for you earlier, even several times for some of these issues... I have written about various aspects in various threads and then I try to cross-reference them, too - just in case, so you can check the links included and inform yourself re. issues in the neighbourhood, as it were...

    11) It's 3.30 AM and I am stealing from my sleep to help you. May I suggest you come back with new Q's only after you sort out the basics, which are all explained already. You need to sit down and do it, really, learning in the process... Good luck!

Since I was asked how all that actually works in Zgemma STBs with PurE2...

PiP (Picture in Picture) in PurE2

For H7: MENU > STANDBY/RESTART > MULTIBOOT > ^ or V (up or down) buttons around the OK button, to choose the image variant that has PiP enabled (in fact, in H7 one hasn't got only 4 but actually 8 images: 4 main ones and each image has a PiP version, too). Restart and then...

H7 and H9/H9.2.X series: choose a channel > blue button > activate PiP

Then, blue button > green button, to set it up the way you want it to appear... (read the messages and keep pressing 0 'til you are happy > OK).

Blue > red button to change the window in which you can zap/change/choose different channels > V or ^ buttons to get the list of channels > green button > choose, for instance Terrestrial > choose a channel > OK...

Then blue button > yellow button to swap the places, i.e. which window is active (i.e. which audio you are listening to) > OK...

Play a bit, you can't fuck it up...

Blue > blue to exit PiP...

    Njoy!

I don't have the signal for it.

Try in OSCam EMU sub-section on this forum, I contributed a config set of files there, which work on 4.8 and 9E at the same time, no need for extra measures, they just work...

Perhaps one of the users with signal there can check it - many have downloaded it, so... ;)

Yes. Plugins are not really well supported at the moment, to my mind - but that is nothing to do with E2 but Kodi itself, I think...

Issues with sound/audio, though - from "Democracy Now" to "Earth touch" and onwards, in terms of plugins...

Playback from HDD also affected in those terms... Dunno why, must investigate...

FNC Plugins (OLM, for instance) are fine, though...

If I understood your Q's correctly:

-no PiG was introduced in PurE2

-I set up my STBs to give me multi-EPG when I press EPG button and I can go up and down the list and with 90% transparency see a little bit of what's what if I press OK button once, without getting out of multi-EPG menu (not to your liking but that it is what it is) - one more OK click and then one is watching that channel

-DD - you tell me, install it on another partition and try (I can;t, no such cable to try... HDMI is fine here)

    Good luck!

Well, after a long time, I just checked again (in my Zgemma H7S with PurE2 v. 6.2, booting into PiP variant (MENU > STANDBY/RESTART > MULTIBOOT > button V or ^ to go to the PiP image version), obviously [2 x DVB-S2X and DVB-T2]): PiP is now working fine! No more freezing, crashing, slowing down badly etc. etc. Coders tell me that the last driver improvement was at the end of August, so...?

    As in:

-no problem watching 2 channels, audio from only one, of course

-swapping them and that way you change which channel's audio you listen to

-resizing them, from one very small, all the way to splitting the screen, i.e. to equal size windows

    -zapping one window, then

-changing which window will be zapped in and zapping in that window freely

-madly changing channels from a big list in any direction, whichever channel (I have a T90 with 12 LNBs)

-combining sat TV and terrestrial channels etc.

Pretty darn smooth, I am pleased to say... And that was the last point I thought of as an issue, so now I can call it an almost PERFECT BOX (nothing is perfect, except my wife, of course :laugh1::rasta2bigsmoke0gf1: )!!! :cool1::thumbup::beer1:

The "experimental" part from the name of the image can be removed, as far as I am concerned - it just does what it says on the tin!

P.S. Also tested my new H9.2H - also working well, any sat TV channel + terrestrial channel...

Ha, a new improvement, it seems to me...

    Whoa, what a mannerless... Oych...

Perhaps you got it the wrong way round...???

Perhaps a "please" and "thanx" would be good, too?

And if you think something is not right, may I generally suggest to ask questions first, to clarify matters - and attack only after you know it was an "attack"...

On the other hand, my post is entirely constructed to help (@ all, not just your grand princely self), not to attack, so where did you get this from I shall never know... but OK, it takes all sorts...

On the off chance you may be a little less lazy and a bit more adventurous, like a proper hobbyist, perhaps you could have a look at those posts (say, no. 112) and find the sids yourself, instead of waiting to be served, whaddyafink? I mean, you have the names of channels, the search functions and so on.

    (Oh, never mind...)
