Surely, it's about the qualities and capabilities of the STB in terms of DVB-S/S2/S2X, as well as DVB-/T2/C, then playback, streaming, support and NOT about a single kernel module....

Btw, some kernel modules can be added after installation, like NTFS but I am not sure about GPT, soooooo...

I have found a GPT USB stick (with Ubuntu on it, FAT32, I think, maybe exFAT, not sure?)...

I explained: you need to mount one of your external devices as /media/hdd => for recording, timeshift and Kodi ONLY.

The other device as /media/usb for EPG, picons, subtitles, logs, cache and buffer...

You did not do it and now you have problems...

Redo everything and heed my advice...

In that case mSD card must be mounted as /media/hdd, because that is where Kodi sets its folder...

I explained in some detail how to do this properly by killing the auto-mount first...

As I already told you, install DreamExplorer and you will see .kodi internally.

Sometimes, using PC via FileZilla Client, one can't see the folder, sadly....

I just saw that Edision OS mio 4K+ has T2-MI scanning in Menu > Setup > Service searching > Manual scan > DVB-S2 > T2MI PLP...

You can't change drivers... Professionals have to do that, I fear...

You can enlarge your flash easily, using mSD card or fast USB stick (we in PurE2 did that): Expanding Zgemmas H9x and H9.2x flash to a Micro SD card or USB stick 2.0/3.0...
