Here is something I prepared earlier, hope it helps (most of it is in PurE2 and Zgemma H7 sections, where you will get a lot of quality help, like this)...

    0) Even if this doesn't work, one doesn't lose anything! In fact, one gains, whatever the outcome... So, install PurE2 on one of the 4 internal partitions you have in H7 like this > H7S MultiBoot "How To" - installing multiple images in H7S's internal flash!

    ...and then try as follows:

    1) While installing FNC plugins from MENU > Plugins > green button > Extensions > one will automatically get several additional plugins installed, like Media Player2, ServiceApp, FFmpeg and SubSupport.

    2) One should set up SubSupport either in (just) one of FNC plugins and it will be set for all plugins or in MENU > Plugins > SubSupport settings > Subtitle search settings.

    3) Now, if one has ServiceApp installed one can choose an Enigma2 playback player: MENU > Setup > System > ServiceApp > Enigma2 playback system > gstplayer/exteplayer3/original. This is setting a priority player for streaming and playback and one of those OUGHT TO WORK in your case.

    4) Please, note that there is some geo-blocking sometimes, so one should also use a VPN service, for protection and to open some services: use a German IP address for Filme and Serien FNC plugins.

Best and cheapest I found for our hobby is: PROTECT YOUR STB WITH SURFSHARK VPN SERVICE - post no. 2!

For Filmler, one should use a Turkish VPN address, of course... and hope for the best..

Best plugin for that - of those I have tested so far - is:

VPN Manager by Murxer: [Plugin] VPN Manager - post 14 and onward...

    Good luck!

Have you actually tried finding which function should be brought up by an RCU button (I don't know by heart, sorry)?

It might be possible, out of all those possibilities there are in that plugin... I just don't know unless I actually try...

And right now I must go and do real life stuff, sorry... so, you tell me, please... ;)

Other buttons don't work with it? We do not have your box, so...

Have you tried mapping the RCU the way you want it to be?

You are aware of that plugin/tool, I am sure, so...?

Just remember, with that tool - in System > Keyboard/RC section - you must de-assign a function first. Save. Just follow the on-screen directions... Then, get back in and assign a new function to a button (short or long press). Save. EXIT and REBOOT. Test...

    Good luck!

serviceApp should never have to be selected as default player

since the internal Enigma2 player calls up the ExtePlayer3 or GstPlayer if nessesery.

Sorry, it was late or I was distracted and I forgot to mention this: the last part (quoted above) I do not find to be the case, I'm afraid. I mean, this switches it ON or OFF and it doesn't work as a priority switch - in my experience with these boxes/Enigma2s.

At least in some boxes I have and I tested for these issues, if I do not change to ServiceApp > either Exteplayer3 or GSTplayer ==> no colours... Gstreamer simply isn't working for some types of IPTV/playback, in some boxes and ServiceApp > those 2 players do. So, I think this doesn't work as you describe, at least in Enigma2s I tried...

And if you do choose ServiceApp, one must find the one which works in that STB/E2 version or again, it won't work...

When it comes to stand-alone apps, for instance E2iPlayer, one must choose between 3 players precisely, also.

Likewise, in Kodi, some addons do not work unless I choose the correct ServiceApp > player. ;)

OK, why WiFi connection, as this is worse than LAN/cable? Your modem has 4 LAN ports?

My advice would be to buy a cheap LAN cable and run it from the modem (or router) to the STB.

That makes everything much better, as it gives you the latest keys, IPTV channels, CS, SW updates for PurE2 (patches and updates are important for E2 as well, not just individual apps etc.)... Enigma2 is complex and an ongoing project, so one needs this nowadays, really...

I mean, if you have PurE2 and FNC plugins, that's a whole new world on top of DVB-S/T/C, m8...

    Good luck!

P.S. Btw, you tell us if some keys are already in the bin file of OSCam Emu and you don't need the keys in keyfile for those providers to work... I simply can't know this, of course... It is a possibility, like with some PowerVu providers in EU, which are AU (you choose such a channel and wait a few minutes for it to be opened, where Master Keys in the bin file create a working key and then you see colours...)

It seems to me there is a big jumble in your head, so let's slow down and go step by step.

You need to start organising your thoughts. Start with the structure of your posts, organise your sentences in paragraphs, each of which talks of only one thing.

    1) Is your STB connected to the net or not? As in full time? LAN (cable) or WLAN (wireless)? I am not asking if you think you are using it all the time but physically, is it connected to the internet? Yes or no? And how exactly?

    2) OSCam Emu has certain things built in the bin file itself and for that it can work without the key file.

    3) Key file, on the other hand, certainly contains some keys for your area of the world (full file attached):

Enigma's thread is here: Softcam by enigma1969

With those keys you do not need internet, of course.

    4) If you want to use CS you need a constant internet connection. Then, you can open a lot more channels...

    5) Some channel lists have more than satellite channels. In Ciefp's list, for instance, there are IPTV channels as well, at the bottom of Favourites. For those channels one sometimes needs ServiceApp and in it either Exteplayer3 or GSTplayer, to open those channels, as internal Gstreamer can't do it, frequently. I wrote about it elsewhere (Franc's plugins thread).

    6) Don't mess around with many Cams. You only need OSCam Emu and valid keys. Of course, for CS you need more, as explained elsewhere.

Now, please, make an effort and explain your thoughts properly...

Yeah you have a point, I agree.

I use a mixed list of channels and in some boxes it works great but... Be that as it may, we all know that Vu drivers are not all that great at times, sadly...

Let me explain on an example or two, as that is best...

For some boxes PurE2 doesn't come with FFmpeg, Exteplayer3 etc. Coders think it's simply good enough as it is without it,for basic functions. You only get FFMpeg, ServiceApp, Exteplayer3, Media Player2 if you install FNC plugins additionally.

But not all boxes have good enough kernel/drivers, strong HW etc. So, for some we need FFmpeg and Exteplayer3 and in some we do not. At my end, such defaults mostly work well like that. But in some (GB X1) I must use ServiceApp > GST Player and that works fine but internal Gstreamer stuff doesn't work properly. And so on.

So, yeah, if that was an IPTV channel, then yes, sure... ;)

Just a few notes re. this plugin, guys...

Generally speaking. the way it is written, it overwrites various essential libs aggressively, so it can alter the important interdependent SW environment in an image. Which is why I am writing this, informing you of the downsides of using it and if you really wanna use it, what (not) to do and how...

E2iStream is now an abandoned project. When he does come back it will be English speaking section only. (Info from FB group from CoderMik!)

E2iPlayer by Bambi is the main one which should be used - if you must - but...

As far as PurE2 v. 6.5 is concerned

E2iPlayer needs FFmpeg etc. and in PurE2 v. 6.5 we have an advanced versions of it, as well as GCC 9.3, SSL 1.1.1.x and so on - so expect trouble! It will neither work as you expect it, nor will PurE2 work as intended, once you install it in PurE2! So, do NOT use it in v. 6.5 until E2iPlayer improves to the latest versions of necessary apps/files/libs that it uses, which are in common with Enigma2. And PurE2 leads the charge in this regard at the moment, so if you want to have the latest and the best - PurE2 is it. But with this proviso... No E2iPlayer, sorry!

As far as PurE2 v. 6.3 is concerned

In PurE2 v. 6.3 you can install E2iPlayer from our feeds (= MENU > Plugins > green button > Extensions). It will automatically pull the necessary packages (FFmpeg etc. which are compatible with it), during the installation from our feed. So, install E2iPlayer from our feed, please, not manually...

But do not update it, if it can be updated online. E2iPlayer should be updated manually, I guess... At least for now... See around the net how to do it, which packages/files etc. Usually, Panda555 is on top of it and he shares the info on this great forum... ;)

PurE2 SW updates are OK, of course, when they come... But do not expect miracles re. E2iPlayer updates!

    Alternatives inside PurE2

Moreover, most users should be better served using PurE2 unique capabilities, via FNC plugins, Kodi, if you have a stronger STB etc.

    You have been warned!

You have been informed! If PurE2 doesn't work properly after you installed E2iPlayer differently than being advised here - tough titties!

    Good luck!:cool1:

    Delfi says:

Fixed 6.3 images should be available today. Sorry for the trouble.

    Feeds updated, etc.

For the most newer boxes, arm based, perhaps it is prudent to switch to version 6.5 as it does offer stuff that 6.3 simply cannot manage. Alas, v 6.3 will be maintained for some time even for those.

    As per ver. 6.2; dm800se, dm500hd, A5 and e4hd were updated.

We only need OSCam Emu. Ncam etc. are derivatives, as far as I know. Never used any of that stuff.

Just download the latest keys via our Softkey Download Plugin for it. It's in the same thread, explained...

If you can DL that, then you can have CS and streaming. Are you not on the net?

Where exactly are you? Spped on your internet is...?

What are you trying to achieve?

Please, don't forget our coders had to deal with an earthquake, profound change of circumstances and so on...

    V. 6.5 is being worked on constantly, though... We shall iron it all out, we just need some time and peace to do it...

Sorry for some trouble here and there - but it's to be expected with all this... It still is a test image...

Having said that, this version is now better supported in some ways than 6.3 (FNC plugins etc.).

Just to let you know that you do get some returns on your investment, as it were... ;)

Please reflash OR telnet to the box and enter:

    opkg update
    opkg upgrade
    reboot

Pls report whether it works as I cannot test it (no dmm800se anymore). This is actually e2 code from 6.3, so...

We have had some trouble with Device Manager but it should be OK now, so that part should be working OK.

Then, yes - kill automount but do not restart yet.

Mount HDD as /hdd and USB as /usb and then restart (do not boot/mount from FSTAB but second option - restart your box!

When it reboots, check if it works OK, as you want it to be. Then, you have permanent mounts, not "dynamic" ones. No swapping places will take place, that is the point. If HDD and USB swap places during reboot a lot of your stuff would be f@#&ed up...

    Good luck!

P.S. I set the "HDD to sleep" after 5 minutes.
