Post no. 2, m8.
On the other hand, if you do not succeed, you have a great choice and it ain't expensive:
H7
H9 Combo or Twin, depending on your needs...
Enjoy!

Here's a bit of good news: ServiceApp => Exteplayer3 => Kodi works in Edision+ with the latest 6.5!
If it's "original" in ServcieApp - nope, not a sausage...
Try installing it from scratch...
OE-A problem. GIt needs tending to, it seems to me...
I could be wrong but....
Don't know, not a problem in Zgemmas, Edisions etc. in London...
But the time zone is the same, both cities are in the same zone...
Try again, m8: go left using < button all around the globe to your city and Save...
Do tell then...
I also didn't have mine - the exact location - but I chose the nearest to it and it works...
Delfi about abandoning 32b project for Edision OS mio 4K + and more than that, with newer libs etc.
"Edisions 6.5 renewed, back to 64 bit mode.
All the boxes after 16.3. :
gstreamer update
many libs updated
gcc v 9.3 with latest fixes used for builds
etc etc
In short, the whole enchilada."
One more edit above... To make it absolutely clear....
H9S = 256MB flash, so it needs to be expanded (although I wouldn't do it with MultiBoot)... See my thread on the topic... :)
H9 Combo = 8GB flash and it has a native MultiBoot, so no need to expand the flash and mess with yet another multiboot on top of the built-in MultiBoot!!! AVOID THAT COMPLICATION!!! Again, see my thread on the topic... ;)
Sorry, edited my post above - I read it the first time as if you have H9S, not Combo model...
Ergo, you do NOT need any additional MultiBoot app, since you already have a MultiBoot built-in!!!
This thread is for you: Flashing Zgemma H9 series (Twin, Combo, H9x/H9.2x), backup and restore settings etc
Ahmed, on second thought, has H9S, which only has 256MB flash... He may need a MultiBoot...
This thread is for him: Expanding Zgemmas H9x and H9.2x flash to a Micro SD card or USB stick 2.0/3.0...
Your Combo, on the other hand, has 4 x E2 partitions and 8GB of flash...
H7 has 4 partitions natively. However...
PurE2 has "2 partitions only" image, as well. V. 6.3.
So, you can have 6.5 on the second partition, to experiment with. "Flash on the fly" will do it for 6.5... (Some FNC plugins only work on 6.5, so...)
Enjoy...
i tried with the nfrboot with zgemma h9 combo, with flash image Pure2 6.5.
1 fat32 + 6ext3 partition.
Everything goes smoothly but if I choose boot one of the uploaded images it won't start
PS:The images are mmc.zip, not usb.zip
Ooopppssss, sorry, did you say H9 Combo?
Yes, you have 4 x E2 partitions natively...
So, install 4 different images...
Enjoy!
Yes. Exteplayer3 for playback and streaming... How?
Install PurE2 v. 6.5 on the next partition. How? I wrote a lot on the subject, see my articles and threads in H7 and PurE2 sections, plus OSCam Emu section, if...
Then, install FNC plugins and with them you will get a modified FFmpeg, Media Player2, SubSupport, ServiceApp and with it Exteplayer3 and so on... :)
Read and do as you read and it will be very, very cool!!! ;)
The best, meaning HW, kernel, drivers, support all-in-one?
1) Real box, tried and tested? I said it clearly above: Zgemma H7. Period!
So, not "as of now not yet tested" (H10, which no one has actually seen performing) or in a bit of a "great change" (OSmio4K+) or...
2) Of the ones I know/have/test: H9 Combo and Twin - depending on your needs.
3) Some say Octagon SF 8000 or 8008 Dino based stuff but I do not have those, so can't comment...
Mmm, yes, it's a really great receiver in many respects and I have some respect for it!
However, this must be said:
- the SoC is not as good as Zgemma H7, for instance
- to this date they have not improved their drivers (not able to play .avi files, trouble with DVD files of various formats etc.)
- Kodi is not even starting in the older images, still as 64b
- they are now going back to 32b (new kernel and everything else with it and things aren't working, at least in the first image I tested, from the wizard onwards, like network, Device Manager can't scan and see devices etc.)
So, sorry but right now you are wrong! At the moment we can not say anything about it with any certainty... Sadly! But I am still hopeful and I think it is a contender, for sure! When and if they sort it out...
There could be 2 points of difference:
1) username/password, from what I can see (in NordVPN you use the same ones you chose when you registered)- that file can be called login, for instance or whatever...
2) they may have the third (crt?) file, where their keys are (like Vanish, a post above your - you have the difference right there...).
In such a case one must show the path to the third keys file in config file, as described above in some detail, with plenty of images...
...and here we go...
...I installed the new 14. 3. v. 6.5 in my ET10K/Xtrend 10000 via SW update...
...248 packages, in the end it installed 299 packages...
It worked!!! The biggest I ever tried!!!:rasta2bigsmoke0gf1:![]()
Kodi is taking a looooong time starting... Just a black screen... Then, one tries to exit or Menu button... Nothing. Must use the switch at the back...
Net Speed test with VPN...
Testing FNC...
In Vumoo FF and RW using numbers doesn't seem to work...
Streamlord works...
YIFY works, too!!!
Testing continues.... :)
Zgemma H9 Combo & Twin are also very strong and capable, if... ;) Including the CI+ CAMs for smartcards...
