yor Emily moor test file worked a treat
thanks for your help
thank's I'll try it shortly
Display MoreI don't know why you are using Dreamboxedit. Receiver has signal finder and surely is better. Never mind.
Not sure why ABM's frequency finder did not create a provider file for you, lets forget it for now. I would appreciate it later.
Can you please also say which image you are using. If ATV, please say the date too
Please follow these instruction
1. In tuner configuration, set the tuner as "My local region". This will be from the xml Terrestrial Scan created for you.
2. Then remove Terrestrial services.
With no menus showing, press UP (above OK, near middle of remote), the service list/bouquets will be shown
Press Green for Satellites/orbital
Highlight Terrestrial services
Press Menu
Remove/delete the Terrestrial services
Confirm the removal
Restart
3. After the receiver restarts, please stay away from Automatic scan. Do not use ABM either.
4. Select Manual scan. Select the tuner for Terrestrial.
Individually, select and scan the multiplexes for Emley Moor .
5. Once completed, restart the box. check all the Terrestrial Services . It is important you do not use the bouquets, use the Service list. Do not press the EPG button.
6. If everything is in order, transfer lamedb to PC, zip it and attach it here.
carried out as above, using channels 47 44 41 33 36 48 the scan didn't pick up any programmes on channel 44 ?
now i have NO HD programmes ? (are they all on channel 44)
thanks
will try the above in the morning, Mrs is watching tennis, so I cant play about with the box/tv now
Display MoreTerrestrial scan will create a terrestrail.xml file in /etc/enigma2
I see you found it. You will need to zip them before you can attach to the forum.
EDIT:
ABM's frequency finder should create a terrestrial_finder.xml in following location
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers
Linux is case sensitive, so just paste those paths or open a folder one by one instead of typing.
had a look at /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers no new/modified files in all the ABM folders there,
having checked the signals I'm getting in dreambox edit
I'm pointting towards emily moor
these are not emily moor
486 mhz ch 22
490 mhz ch 23
682 mhz ch28
506 mhz
514 mhz
570 mhz
634 mhz
658 mhz
682 mhz
on Channel 47 658 mhz from emily moor there is a lot of glitching
on channels 22, 23, 28 lots of breakups, but these are the channels that are picked by the autoscans as my main channels
According to the freeview website, you should be using following UHF channels
47, 44, 41, 33, 36, 48
yes Im get then and a couple of others (think from belmont) I think on channel 47 ( which should be ok) it ntraks out
yes enabled frequency find in ABM,
couldn't find the providers file in either etc/enigma2 or etc/enigma2/abm
the link not working for me (I'm logiged into Techkings but comes up with "oops we ran into probelm" message
found the terrestrial xml file, but can't find ABM provider file, looked in eTC/Enigma folder and ETC/Enigma/ABM folderterrestrial.xml
Please upload the files both plugins create so that we can update them. Terrestrial scan plugin will create a terrestrial.xml. ABM will create a provider file.
Just for future reference, manual scan allows you to select/specify what you scan. But you would have to select one frequency at a time.
Terrestrial scan plugin is better that the scanning in Enigma2 as it probes all the frequencies and uses only those that have services and prefers stronger ones. It uses same logic as Frequency finder in ABM.
where are these files stored ? Terrestrial scan plugin will create a terrestrial.xml. ABM will create a provider file.
thanks I'll try both tomorrow
hi folks
got a zgemma 9H2H which i use as the TV's aerial feed (tv aerial tuner not working) i've had lots of glitching on lots of channels, it appears to be when the zgemma box does an auto scan its picking up the weaker signals from Belmont trans mitter and using them as its programme list
so is there a pluggin or app that i can use that will auto scan just the channels from emily moor ( channels, 32,34,41, 44,47,51,52,56)
yasi can do a manual scan on each channel but I'm sure one of the clever folks have made an auto function
thanks, last season I used 13E canal+PL and sometimes Klubsports on 16E, last few years just kept it as backup to IPTV,
maybe look to pick up cheap sub that will be my backup
is there nothing else open to CS between 0.8W to 19E
got a big tree in the garden so can't get past 19E
I used my VU+ uno se 4k for satelite & IPTV, have to say the on IPTV it wasn't anywhere the quality i get from the firestick 4k, don't have a 4k tv
yes been on the support forum,
think its an easy thing to sort out, it was just my brain has turned fuzzy over last few months and starting to find it hard to think/work things out now
think this is how its done
To move dish
MENU
ANTENNA CONNECT motor
SATELLITE LIST 0.8w 13e 19e (ones I mostly use)
SETUP (yellow button)
MOTOR TYPE usals
MOTOR SETTINGS
SELECT SATELLITE (top box) dish should move to satellite
yesi used to do it with phone and buzzing meter, but got one of these meter boxes as thought it would be easier to have meter with me by the dish as i'm fine tuning (instant of getting up/down ladder and going inside to check tv, have had tv & stb on table in garden so i could see from dish)
5 months ago had to fine tune (as i'd done so roof work and knocked dish) worked out how to do it with meter did it in mins, but this time i can't get my head in gear over last few months brains got all fuzzy
hi folks
think old age has hit me hard lately, just can't get my head around re setting my motorised dish
had to put connect up my old VU+ solo2 as vu+ uno 4k se been sent back to WoS as its got HW fault
not used the motorised dish since end of last football season so think the dish has moved slightly
can i use gt media V8 sat finder to move the dish ? if so how do i do it (I'm sure i did move dish with it in the spring but brain just can't think about it)
or do i have to drive dish with the vu+ solo2
this weekend tried a lot of images including VU+ origanal image some seem to be working well 20 mins even 1 hr but at some point either the box stops responding to the remote control or the restart/shutdown menu appears and you can't do anything other than switch the box off/on
felt the temp of the box doesn't feel over hot
hi folks, the uno 4k se is playing up think its hardware as i've replaced remote control unit and reflashed it with different images but still not getting past a few steps in the setup after reflashing
only had it 15 months
problems started when the restart/shutdown menu would pop up ramdomly could only clear it by switching box off/on by the plug
decided to reflash the box, tried around 6 different images and each time the box would stop responding to the remote control as i was going though the setup screen,
so i got a new remote (hoping) that would sort it out by still stops as i'm going though the setup screen
tried the changing the RCU setting via the remote buttons OK & ON button, then 00002 ok lights on remote flash box flashes but still the box will not respond to the remote control
so think there must be some kind of hardware fault on the box,
using pure2 image it gets further along the setup than the other images
can't get the box to reload my old image ten below backup
