hardware is probably different

you can't.
you have to fix via rs232. -
never heard of the 3606h only 3606d and 3606q.
probably a slight hardware difference between the two. -
if you aren't into hacking, the manhattan rs 1933 firmware runs on my s10 with prot ic disabled, but the front panel doesn't work.
No ethernet or softcam support, but it has the signal beep function for dish aiming that I use all the time.
I never tried it on a clone s9 since I don't have one. -
I believe what you are running now was the only version for the s9.
The original one from dec 2011 was s10,then there was the s9 version, then the red gui version for s10 -
load via rs232

I thought I did in post #3
don't forget to always tick include bootloader. -
it also boosts the price
-
Changing firmware is dangerous (and coming from chinese.....more ... lol), so make always a full backup.
and verify the backup is correct and usable
-
go back to the old firmware
-
post dbf and ddf files here,I will try my editors on them
-
I killed my receiver the first day I got it,so I spent a lot of time refining the process and getting the correct loader version.
-
you should be able to edit sats with alieditor,so not a major problem.
-
classic clone kill and has nothing to do with the power supply.
open the loader and select the 5-5.abs and hit next, then turn the receiver on with the switch in the back.
This will load the may 5,2011 firmware which was pre-clone kill. -
linux is never simple
-
impossible if it is set up to a fixed dish and the receiver is set properly
-
no more new firmware
what you see now is what you get, unless you get a newer model
openbox support is only for 9 months. -
leave the firmware on it
-
make sure it is really dead by measuring the voltages out.
A clone kill will show symptoms like a dead power supply but the power supply is fine. -
null modem cable, loader v2.0.0c and turn the receiver on after you hit next.No hurry turning the receiver on.
