lots of methods really , ha

one thing to mention though is that within windows using cmd then ping command you cannot specify port to ping whereas in a linux environment via telnet you simply type

ping "ip address or dns address":"port number"

this method will ensure that the server port you need is open. Most common day routers will block ping requests to standard ping ports so for a solid solution used telnet via your receiver or a linux machine

Easy script to execute from your dream or linux pc when running oscam. Modified form of an older script

The script will create the oscam.srvid file so you can see what users are viewing via webif in oscam

    Script is attached.

    1. FTP downloaded file to the root directory and chmod 755
    2. Run script as root user with either option 1,2,3 .... ./srvidfetchconv.sh "1" "2" "3"
    3. option 1 will download latest cc.channelinfo from certain site and convert it

option 2 will allow you to specify a weblink to download cccam.channelinfo from and then convert it

option 3 will allow you to convert your own cccam.channelinfo so long as it is located in /root

once your new oscam.srvid file has been created it will be located in /root

    enjoy

    srvidfetchconv.sh

or another method is to log into your receiver via telnet and issue the command ping followed by the dns address you have been given.

    hi tris,

bt home hubs are given away free for a very good reason . Because they are shocking !!!!! You could be lucky and get a good one but its more than likely your with the masses. One thing i did notice when previouslely living in the uk is if i had my server on the bt broadband connection i had loads of problems with disconnects/reconnects etc . I changed the router and still had the same probs so put it down to the bt network in the end. I guess its something to do maybe with there throttling of traffic etc. All i would advise is use non standard ports etc . If the hub is blocking all ports after you have set them open it sounds like the hub is being factory reset which would indicate that perhaps its faulty

    Log into webif in oscam

click on readers tab at top
click on show entitlement towards the right hand side for your tring card

    report back the entitlements dates.

Also cccam is not great at sending emm's to oscam . Mgcamd is the best for a succesful emm to oscam.

Can you see in your oscam debug log any emm's received ?

You have labelled your reader as Tring ( note the capital T ) however your au= setting in oscam.user is tring ( note lowercase t ) so your card not getting the emm updates it needs to work.

Check in webif the reader entitlements and note the tier dates

as ten had posted gangsta issues were reader protocol settings. Oscam could not be reading for lots of reasons. If it was working and then it wasn't something must have changed . Post your oscam.server config omitting and box keys etc

i guess a lot depends on your budget mate . Do not rule out dream clones though as they are more or less as reliable as the originals . You can pick up a dm800 clone for around 130 euro's if you look around the net . Just make sure you flash with an image suitable for a clone. You can then add a cheap usb tuner with some of the latest images ( already supported ) so then you can record and watch different at the same time

    good luck

you need to add the following files cccam.channelinfo & cccam.providers . They may already be there but could be empty without data. Also make sure you have the lines in you cc config pointing to the right place for the files.
