seems is not recognising your usb device.
try downloading nftytool again & extracting to debian then do the following
apt-get install libusb-dev
apt-get install gcc
./configure
make
once you've completed the above succesfully then issue this from command
./nftytool -p phoenix -- -f 6.00 -p phoenix -e
try and report back

plug the usb hub into the pc first . then plug the smargo into the usb hub . simples as the meerkats say :)
in root issue command : -
lsusb
the output will show you all devices on your usb ports. you will then be able to establish the usb port position or the bus:device depending on which cam your using :)

No , you dont need to reinstall debian
So if debian is installed then whatexactly are you stuck with
what image of debian did you download . What is was the iso filename ?

Quick how to for you with simple steps . If any need elaborating please post back. Think this is correct way as a friend of mine has done with this card.
1 . Install Debian 6 latest release as it has newest kernel . Determine whether your system is 32bit or 64 bit and follow respective download
http://cdimage.debian.org/debi…-6.0.1a-amd64-netinst.iso 64bit
http://cdimage.debian.org/debi…n-6.0.1a-i386-netinst.iso 32 bit
Once downloaded burn the image file to a cdr.
Install debian 6 onto your pc following the step by step prompts.
Get this bit done first and if your still stuck after this stage post back

just run a dynamic update client on your internet connection . Ip changes will not affect date and time . As earlier posted the date and time is pulled back via the satellite once a signal is established. Ip changing 3 x a week quite normal with the amount of throttling etc isp's are doing at the moment. Which isp ??

do you already have cent os 5.1 installed on your linux pc ?
have you inputted latest keys ?
And just to clarify after a pm about my cccam f line posted

The 3 means your peers will see upto hop3
The 1 means your peers will receive your emus/keys should you have any
The 0 means your peers can't send you emms
The { 0:0:2 } Means your peer can take your card and reshare one furthur hop down the chain should the original shares allow it.

text after the // is not read so these are keynotes for file use i believe. I would assume its some sort of cheat and you must rename your oscam binary to cccam. It also looks like it is for specific image on specific receiver.
What errors did you get on compile in log

toto , follow the guides on this forum written by afc . when you get to the stage of configuring your .xml file you can add your card from oscam.

when you write the lines for your friends do like this : -
F: xxxxx xxxxxx 3 1 0 { 0:0:2 } . This will allow all your friends to take cards up to hop 3 and allow them to reshare to there friends 1 hop should the original share allow it.

How long is the cable run ? What cable ? Which receiver ? Is there a switch involved ? These are all other factors which could degrade the signal. Hope you get it sorted.

Not so much the snr levels , its the quality ( agc ) what is important mate . On a dm800 which has a weak tuner on early revisions anyway if i dont hit more than 70% on the quality i got problems. I can pick up 28.2 in germany fine but i found it was crucial to peak out my dish on the hd transponders. Have you got a sat meter with spectrum analyser on it ?

toto be more descriptive with help . what bit do you need help with . If you browse the forum you will find a great how-to from start to finish on csp written by afc . Big thanks to him for this. If you search in the oscam section you will find all you need . If it is a problem with linux then look in the linux section. All is on here just start looking .

you dont need to enable user accounts if you viewing yourself via dvbapi . you only need use a services file if you are restricting channels from your card . Think of a services file as an allowed channel list. One thing i would advise is never make changes through the webif as it is quite buggy and prone to changing your master files in mysterious ways. Always edit your oscam.conf , oscam.server , oscam.user with good old word pad and then ftp back to the box.
