did you install csp as per guide , configure your xml and can confirm that csp is running on the pc

v1.3 is best firmware i believe but not essential . Drivers are dependant upon which cam you are going to be using .

seems is not recognising your usb device.
try downloading nftytool again & extracting to debian then do the following
apt-get install libusb-dev
apt-get install gcc
./configure
makeonce you've completed the above succesfully then issue this from command
./nftytool -p phoenix -- -f 6.00 -p phoenix -e
try and report back

plug the usb hub into the pc first . then plug the smargo into the usb hub . simples as the meerkats say :)
in root issue command : -
lsusb
the output will show you all devices on your usb ports. you will then be able to establish the usb port position or the bus:device depending on which cam your using :)

what image of debian did you download . What is was the iso filename ?

Quick how to for you with simple steps . If any need elaborating please post back. Think this is correct way as a friend of mine has done with this card.
1 . Install Debian 6 latest release as it has newest kernel . Determine whether your system is 32bit or 64 bit and follow respective download
http://cdimage.debian.org/debi…-6.0.1a-amd64-netinst.iso 64bit
http://cdimage.debian.org/debi…n-6.0.1a-i386-netinst.iso 32 bit
Once downloaded burn the image file to a cdr.
Install debian 6 onto your pc following the step by step prompts.
Get this bit done first and if your still stuck after this stage post back

just run a dynamic update client on your internet connection . Ip changes will not affect date and time . As earlier posted the date and time is pulled back via the satellite once a signal is established. Ip changing 3 x a week quite normal with the amount of throttling etc isp's are doing at the moment. Which isp ??

And just to clarify after a pm about my cccam f line posted
F: xxxxx xxxxxx 3 1 0 { 0:0:2 }The 3 means your peers will see upto hop3
The 1 means your peers will receive your emus/keys should you have any
The 0 means your peers can't send you emms
The { 0:0:2 } Means your peer can take your card and reshare one furthur hop down the chain should the original shares allow it.

toto , follow the guides on this forum written by afc . when you get to the stage of configuring your .xml file you can add your card from oscam.

when you write the lines for your friends do like this : -
F: xxxxx xxxxxx 3 1 0 { 0:0:2 } . This will allow all your friends to take cards up to hop 3 and allow them to reshare to there friends 1 hop should the original share allow it.

How long is the cable run ? What cable ? Which receiver ? Is there a switch involved ? These are all other factors which could degrade the signal. Hope you get it sorted.
