You can sub to setanta from northern Ireland but you will only get a black screen when the prem footy is on. Setanta only have prem footy rights for Rep of Ireland.

One option is to take the hit of buying a 12 month card from website mentioned above. When that sub runs out you now have a card that you can use to signup again on the setanta website. You will need a republic of Ireland address to use though.

Never used whitelist myself. I think its more hassle than it's worth.

I'm not familiar with that box. But sharing with 10 friends (hopefully sharing something back) should not be a problem.

I doubt very much if your card will burst into flames so don't worry about that. If the worst comes to the worst..... the dog ate it.

Your settings will not be much use to you if your box won't turn on.

Some times after a flashing a new image on my duo the channels will show up. But they will all be greyed out. This happens even after backing up and restoring my sat positions.
To resolve this I go into tuner config and reassign each of my sats with its previously stored number. ie 9e = 9, 28.2 = 28 etc etc

You of course need to have it setup this way original. I don't use usals.

Did you remember to backup your sat positions?

What about a linuxsat voice server?

My server is running 24/7 as I am sure are many others. So is it difficult/possible to add a voice server to it?
Like teamspeak or ventrillo.

Make sure you have added your DNS details to the router. Also reboot to make sure changes are applied.

I have this issue on my Dad's solo clone. It sometimes happens after a reboot etc.

I have to disconnect / reconnect hdmi lead to restore audio.

went with XS Usenet - Free Usenet provider in the end. Their premium package.
So far so good.

Using three omnikeys. Didn't realise other cards may have higher ecm times though.

I guess ecm times is one of those things were there are lots of things that could effect them.

Using the latest omnikey drivers could be a factor though. Thats why I was asking how to update them.
