Hi friends, I'd like to learn something new about oscam.

I use oscam to share my two cards in the server stb with other receivers in my lan.

When I use the decoder I know which channels I can see with my abbos, but when the RCU is in wife's or children's hands the "bad" requests to the server are more frequent that the correct ones (those wich are succesfully decodable) .

Can you tell my through which oscam's parametres I can obtain just the correct ecm's requests are sent to the server by clients?!?

My memory starts fail and I seem to remeber in past I used a parameter with or without a "!" before to achive a similar result, but now I can't remember what parameter it was.

    Please, can you help me?

    Many thanks and best regards

Just a more tip, if you can.

I think i'll use VPN to transport osc*m protocols between my home in the city I work and the home of my family where I come back in weekend.

So for a simple client-servera and not for transcoding/streaming.

Do you think it is better to connect to server specialized in P2P or to "normal" servers?!?

    Many thanks dear

when running VPN manager have you tried to run a network test in network menu to see if your getting an internet connection?

Yes I've tried and the VPN is functioning... it assign to my decoder a new IP and also I run a network test of the speed and the risult was not so bad.

As I've said, I've removed rev 1.1.6 of VPNmanager and just installed rev 1.1.4.

Now I can see also the info in the top-right part of the window (where I can read the city in which is ubicated the server I connect etc.)... it seems working well.

However it does persist the strange behaviour to have to mantain a subfolder in /mnt/usb/openvpn and to save the path to this subfolder in order to have the list o servers populated in the plugin :derpthink:

Dear dsayers, once more I've to understand that there is always a reason ;).

Looking backward at what I've done makes me feel a little bit stupid: I've used an IPK not suitable to my image (python 2.x) without realize that the lack of the dependency has to sound to me as an alarm.

However, just to laugh, I discovered that anyway the plugins works, in a strange manner, but works :loolz::loolz::loolz:.

It shows the variuos servers NordVPN if I put the files in the folder /mnt/usb/openvpn, but only under the condition to create an ulterior subfolder under /mnt/usb/openvpn and saving the path to this subfolder inside the config menu of the plugin... absurd but so it works! I can choose start/stop the various servers, but it doesn't compare any info regarding the connection in the upper-right window of the plugin.

I would try to use the plugin in OpenATV 8 (so with python 3.0), but I've already discovered that installing this image on Vu+ Duo2, this one crashes imediatly after its installation and configuration of the main parametrs in image, as soon as I choose to download the list of the plugins (green button) :crying: .

Anyway, now I will disinstall VPN manager 1.1.6.ipk to subsequently revert to VPN manager 1.1.4.ipk (I think it's the last for python 2.x).

Have you something different to suggest to me?!?

Thanks a lot and many regards

    Hi friends,

I'm still in trouble with VPN manager 1.1.6 on my VU+ Duo2 with OpenATV 6.4 :crying1:.

Starting the plugin I'm not able to see anything in the plugin's display, both in the left zone (list of servers) and in the top-right zone (connection data), as you can see in the attached picture.

I can't understand why, but it seems the plugin isn't able to read the files downloaded from NordVPN that I put on usbdrive (/mnt/usb/openvpn). I tried to change pendrive too.

I've tried also to put them in hard disk, but the risult is the same. Clearly I've updated the variuous positions of the file through the "menu"of plugins.

A strange behaviour I've experimented also loading "usr" and "password" through the editing of the file plugin.py... just the correct password appear in the "menu" in the plugin, meanwhile the user mantained an old value. I succeded in inputing the correct value by using the RCU of VU+.

Could be all this due to the inizial lack, during plugin's installation phase, of the dependency python-future_0.18.2-r0_mips32el.ipk ?!?

I've tried also to remove and after reinstall VPN Manager, but I've realized that after reinstallation my old config are still in the box.

Thanx a lot for your tips93aea68c6a8d591e596aee.jpg

Good evening... same problem as Strutch had, but on my VU+ Duo2 with OpenATV 6.4.

It will be one of these dependencies.

Are the files of the dipendencies made availables by Master G at post #209 suitable to my decoder too (mips vs arm)?!?

    Thanx a lot
