[Plugin] VPN Manager

when running VPN manager have you tried to run a network test in network menu to see if your getting an internet connection?

I have a script here OpenVPN Setup guide for most VPN,s and scripts but I don't think that will help. All my script does is download your configs and configures VPN manager.

Yes I've tried and the VPN is functioning... it assign to my decoder a new IP and also I run a network test of the speed and the risult was not so bad.

As I've said, I've removed rev 1.1.6 of VPNmanager and just installed rev 1.1.4.

Now I can see also the info in the top-right part of the window (where I can read the city in which is ubicated the server I connect etc.)... it seems working well.

However it does persist the strange behaviour to have to mantain a subfolder in /mnt/usb/openvpn and to save the path to this subfolder in order to have the list o servers populated in the plugin :derpthink:

I just save mine in HDD/vpn_name so HDD/NordVPN but if it's working that should be ok

Just a more tip, if you can.

I think i'll use VPN to transport osc*m protocols between my home in the city I work and the home of my family where I come back in weekend.

So for a simple client-servera and not for transcoding/streaming.

Do you think it is better to connect to server specialized in P2P or to "normal" servers?!?

It doesn't work on OpenPli 8 it's says login error but same login working on open atv how to solve issue

Temporary solution is to add this line to the buttom of your config file

Alternatively to do all files at once use this command and edit PATH to the location of your configs.

Not working I am using ipvanish vpn I have added tls-cipher DEFAULT:@SECLEVEL=0 line in config file its still not connecting

Not added in all only few for test I am only connecting to those server are you talking about media/hdd server files?

DO you have a log in etc/openvpn/VPN.log? I think that line is only needed for a few VPNs on python 3 images

Perhaps check for your self but one thing I have noticed if vpn manager does not connect or comes up with authentivity error it does not make log it only seems to keep log of server that has connected.

Maybe I have added the log line myself. In the configs you can add

log /etc/openvpn/openvpn.log

it does make log but as i said only if connection is made. what configs dsayer do you mean in every config file for vpn providers or usr\lib\enigma2\python\Plugins\Extensions\VpnManager\resolv update-resolv-conf file ?
