    I found that an attached HDD doesn't actually work that well when attached to the Amiko box. So I have a 16GB pen drive in the back for EPG, file swap, pic-icons and back-up. I record all files / TV shows / Films to a NAS. Seems to work perfectly for me....one thing to note, when configuring a new 'save to path' using E2 is to push the 'MENU' button to bookmark a new location.

    Hi Jackormrod, you will need to download the files and FTP them onto your box using FileZilla or similar software. After copying them onto your STB (/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions), ensure you reboot it and they then appear as a plugin.

    Hi
    I have crossepg working on both Spark and E2, but when I turn on the box I have to click on every channel for the epg info to come in, otherwise they remain blank.
    Cheers

    Spark - the Crossepg doesn't work properly with Spark, it will only save data to internal cache which is then deleted when you restart. This is a bug which has been reported to Spark and they are fixing, they advised me that they will issue an update after the Chinese new year.

    E2 - You have probably got a configuration issue. I've not used the HDMU version Bobbyduke has advised on, so I cannot help on this. I use SatStation latest build, which has all the plugins ready for download and is pretty straight forward to configure.

    Are you running the .51.E2 version of Spark??

    Also, Spark has decent plugins which means that you point it to the files on your pen-drive and it does the work so you don't need to click about with the buttons on the front of the STB, then after the upgrade go to 'System / Setup' and 'Default Settings' it has the option to 'boot into E2'...very helpful.

    Hi sparksy, Since I have just modified my satellite installation with the SCR LNB. Could you please tell me how to move from one Tuner to another one? Both for Spark and for E2 FW?

    Hi Pikkia,

    Spark - there is a button on the remote control 'SAT', or within the EPG you select from which provider you want.
    E2 - The button on the remote does not work, but the process is automated. You record on one is moves to another. IF you have 2 frequencies, I guess you just select the channel you want from the bouquet, but since I don't have 2 frequencies to change between I don't really know.

    What could be the boxid, is it an number, where could I found it?

    I don't know exactly where you can get this information from - but it should be the MAC address of the box which is serving you your Oscam service

    I put the oscam.server in var/keys

    You need to put the Oscam.server file in /var/tuxbox/config - once you've done this restart the OSCam plugin

    FTP Login - that is to be used in FileZilla to remotely access your box.

    Thanks I will intriduce myself when I have found the problem.
    I'm trying to gets think working for 3 days and nights now, but im deperate I have no ideas. Yesterday I sat and tried until 3 in the morning.
    And yes I have read the oscam wiki, and all the other postings and sites. But I do not know what iám doing wrong. ANd to be honnest, the oscam wiki is not a big help.

    Please anyone an idea?

    Hi Keytreb,

    You don't have a 'BOXID' this is ID of the box you are 'OSCam-ing' to and it is required although the Wiki doesn't say this. What version of OSCam are you using and what location are you coping the file to?

    I have the following setting in mine,

    label=
    enable=1
    protocol=cccam
    device=<IP Address or URL>,<Port>
    user=<username>
    password=<password>
    cccversion=2.1.4
    group=1
    inactivitytimeout=1
    reconnecttimeout=30
    lb_weight=100
    cccmaxhops=10
    ccckeepalive=1
    cccwantemu=0
    boxid=<ID of Box>

    I have nothing more... Another thing you might want to check is your Router's firewall - you will be able to see the traffic coming to and from you STB, if there is nothing then you know it is a problem with the STB config. If you are receiving traffic and it is going to the correct address then you know your STB is working fine.

    Hi, I have had the same problem, I have tried to edit the drive, thinking that this is where the problem is, but it isn't. When you go into 'Recording Path' click 'OK' on the controller when selecting 'default movie location' then when you are in the next screen press the 'MENU' key and then the '1' Key. You should then be able to browse the STB's folder structure and select your NAS, the blue button should now say 'ADD BOOKMARK'

    Worked for me.

    fdisk -1
    unmount /dev/sda1
    mkfs.ext2 -L RECORD /dev/sda1
    mkdir /hdd/movie

    this is working on my alien2 with HDMU

    Hi Ben361,

    I can what you are trying to do. I'm using the SatStation build and connecting via putty and I'm finding that the command 'fdisk -1' doesn't work and 'unmount /dev/sda1' - although there is a file sda1 in dev directory :-S

    Sorry to be a pain!

    I'm beginning to lose my mind on this. It is so straight-forward Spark I cannot believe that isn't possible on the same box with E2.

    How can I bookmark a drive /NAS/Folder/Data, I'm only given the option to internal memory or flash drive (which is only 16GB)

    Can I do this by editing a config file using filezilla???

    Thanks
