update, i have got webmin installed and can access UI no problem, i have also changed the default port from 10000.

i am very confused on the iptables side of things. i am trying to setup my iptables, i have had a look at http://linuxsat-support.com/li…quick-guide-iptables.html

but it is not making any sense to me, do i add a rule via the UI or a the file in /etc/iptables?? very confused and been banging my head agaist the wall for hours...............:bello:

hey guys, been playing about installing webmin, using the fine tut posted on the forum,

came into difficulties on the last step, install cancelled as port 10000 is already in use?

i use Ubuntu 12.04 oscam 8906 with CCcam protocol. i know that newcamd used port 10000..... can i change this port or am i missing the point,

wanting to use iptables etc, as i am getting anon loins to my server. tried failban via Oscam but i ban random friends, inc my own solo2 sometimes : /

Hi guys. Hopefully somebody can help me with my issue.

    I got a vu+ solo 2. Within the CCcam.cfg I have got 4 C:lines

    C:192.168.XXX (my own dedicated server)
C: share from a peer slyit
C: share from a peer al jez
C: share from a peer sly ger < these lines are just examples

When I am watching 0963 CCcam seems to favour other lines.
When watching cccam info. If for instance I am watching 19°e and then decide to swith to 0963 uk. CCcam with stick with that line to provide 0963 ecms. Sometimes this can cause glitches.
If I disable the other 3 lines and just leave my own enanled 0963 runs flawlessly.

Is there a way to block 0963 from the other lines maybe?

Hope this makes sence. Have racked my brain trying different methods

Ie: putting the other 3 lines on my server as a CCcam reader (I use oscam with cccam protocol) and giving them group 20 and giving my vu+ user that group but nothing cleared on the other sats.

    Pulling my hair out now

What ever ppv you are thinking of watching needs paid for and emm writen to the card, it can be shared but even dynamo cant do what your thinking :)

you are underestimating what dynamo can do..... you saw what he did to those lotto tickets right? haha,

Have you bookmarked the site on that page or does it just pop up randomly?
Please explain how you get this message. Is it after you perform a search?
If so, you could take the message literally and make your searches more specific so you get fewer more accurate search results.

i get exactly the same, not to bothered to be honest, its when i start to type in the address bar ''linu.....'' auto complete kicks in, and displays the same msg when i come to the site. cache maybe? just to idle to clear cache and cookies etc

here is my 2 cents from todays experience. i too want to watch/control my solo2 from upstairs t.v, so i went to asda and got a wireless video sender with ir.

based on the performance i will be going down the rf modulator route.

the upstairs tv is directly above my front room, wireless from my router caused interferrence on all 4 channel freqs, (resolved if i stopped the broadcast,)
the solo2 remote ir will not affect the box itself if the sender is powered up, (works fine from upstairs) but would be a hassle to turn on/off everytime i want to watch tv upstairs as the main sender unit it now behing my tv that sits on the wall (wireless range is rubbish)

i will be going down the rf route for sure.......

for reference the make and model i used >>>> SLX Comapct AV Sender only cost me £30, wish i went for the 5.8GHz now for the extra £20 :/
