    I think that if you put it to votes a lot of people prefers xstreamity but not because xclass is less performant or ugliest but it's less practical and fast when you have to change category or playlist and you have to go back to the home page and then scroll through the menu items one at a time to find the list of playlists, otherwise it is very very beautiful aesthetically and it is a pleasure to use.
    I guess that if you change the menu style in the home page it would get more concensus, IMO.

    When you highlight an on-demand title press number five or the red record button and it asks you if you want to open the download manager then it takes you there if you confirm.

    ps. if you change the text color people that uses the dark mode, like I do, can hardly see your writings.

    Thanks dish but the problem is that the Supreme suffers of a bad microSD slot and it doesn't readit correctly, I have two SD well partitioned and with some images installed in but it doesn't read them correctly or if at stat it does it then looses them during operation.
    For being able to format the SD and install images I had to use another SF8008 and just then move the SD to this box... till it definetively gave up. So it's not the SD the problem.

    It says the slot that hosts the image I'm logged in is actually empty. Weird huh?
    And I am not the only one complaining for this problem and that's why I warn to think about it many times before spending money with this box.
    I could show other examples but this is not the right thread and I don't want to bring it OT but it's a way to show why I need to have extra slots in the internal SSD.

    Hello. Is this thread still being supported? I see many ununswered questions by the users.


    I wish to partition the Octagon SF8008 Supreme internal 500GB SDD NVMe hard drive because the SD card doesn't work (don't buy this box, it's bugged) therefore the only solution for not throwing it in the garbage bin (reciclabe of course) is to attempt to partition the SDD but it gives error, I enclose the log.
    I formatted the hard disk and tried to launch the script via a file manager plugin but it doesn't work. I guess I should try with a telnet command to launch the script but I don't remember it, if someone can write it here I appreciate.
    Any other thing I should try? I really need to get it working.

    They would be serious if they took care of their customers when they have a problem instead of having them repeat things over and over again pretending not to understand so as to make you give up due to exhaustion as in the end actually happened.

    They pretend not to know the problem but you see it too, there are many people who complain about this decoder both here and on other sites and I find it rather unlikely that no one before or after me has complained to them about this problem.

    A serious company takes its responsibilities and if they sell a defective batch they must take note of it and fix it, otherwise what is the point of the guarantees?

    I wouldn't waste time with the supreme, they are almost all bugged, I had two and both had problems with the SD card, I have been for mounths exchanging mails with the support but they say they didn't find any problem and there's no way to be heard.
    I know it's attractive for the internal SSD but I'd suggest you to forget it for now and if you really have to do it get the older version not Supreme.
    I know that soon they will come out with another new version, just to conferm what they deny, tha that decoder is nothing more than a waste of money and Octagon is not a serious brand.

    Before the recovery flash you should have saved the "boot" folder where you find a situation similar to this:

    Also the file /etc/fstab should be backed up and then restore them all after flash to get all the slots available.
    It's something people often forget to mention when they suggest to recovery flash.


    Try to copying these files via FTP using just the number of startup file for the number of slots you previousy had but before for safety make a backup of the ones you have now.

    Why complicating your life with an obsolete ftp as DCC when there's such an easy and well functional application like WinSCP as has already been suggested.
    Try it to believe.
    Second choice Firezilla, imho.

    If you take a picture you'd better take it from the front so that it's readable or else it's useless, better more if you take a screenshot with webif.
    Anyway, I remember time ago I was trying to install it and had about the same problem and at the time the problem was that it was obsolete and didn't support python 3. I think it has been abandoned, better use Wireguard for VPN.
