If your lucky enough to own an Ultra HD tv some good news for you...

Astra Deutschland has launched a new Ultra HD showcase channel available as a free-to-air service on the satellite operator’s orbital position 19.2° East.
The channel carrying the ID Astra Ultra HD Demo offers a mixture of landscape and nature videos, impressions from city life and sports footage. The content has been produced exclusively for Astra by 4K specialists Katie and Jacob Schwarz from the USA.
“The laboratory stage lies behind us, the Ultra HD technology has arrived in the market,” Wolfgang Elsäßer, managing director of Astra Deutschland, said in Munich. “The Ultra HD TV sets available today enable the reception of Ultra HD content distributed via satellite. Our showcase channel is therefore particularly targeting retailers who can now adequately demonstrate the TV sets’ fantastic picture quality with our support.”
The showcase channel can be found on the frequency 10.994 GHz H (SR 22,000, FEC 9/10). The play-out of the signal which is compressed in the new HEVC standard is handled by Astra subsidiary SES Platform Services.
Becoming VIP and giving back to this great site is the best thing you could ever do, it shouldn't be about what you get but what you give back
Display MoreHi all :)
I fitted a Vu+ Solo box (with ViX) for a friend this weekend, but it's given me trouble with low SNR and missing a load of channels. From memory, it did pick up *** Sports 5, Showcase and a load of others. SS1 - SS4 were all missing as well as all the rest of the movies channels..... An auto channel scan gets around 320 channels.
LMB is a quad with only one single feed being used.
SNR is reading only 30%. Tried tweaking the LMB position with no change
The dish was already in place, which I'm assuming is positioned correctly (looks pretty much identical to the neighbours and they've used *** in the past). As the Virgin engineers cut the feed, I've ran brand new coax and F connectors.
Could anyone help point me in the direction where I should be checking? Would poor cabling cause low SNR?
Thank you.
What size dish is your friend using, what is the geographic location ?
Been fine here since 9am this morning
thanks for reply ive tryed another image still the same ive tryed every thing even brought my mates box up to try that and that does the same so i know its something to do with router/internet
Could it be something to do with the routers firewall settings ?

A friend of mine in Belfast has been using a Moteck for a while now and has had no problems at all
I have had Infinity since it started in my area, approx 3 years, i get 50mb dl and 10mb ul
I have had some problems with the new home hub 5, it tends to drop out at least once a day for just under a minute, this might just be my one and if it was replaced may be fine
Generally very happy with the speeds and the service from BT, although if you phone them it is possible to barter them down, which i did about a month ago
Good luck
Just to confirm what mckee25 has correctly stated, the official receiver and card are paired (i know i had one until last week) so you will be unable to share this package
In London you will get most of the tp's however you may struggle with 11hd which is on 10853 H (a very low frequency), plus they narrowed the beam right before the world cup
Was wondering if it would be possible to have a Member Feedback section within the Buy/Sell/Exchange section ?
We have a rogue traders sub forum already to make members aware of bad apples, but would also be nice to have a sub forum to feedback on deals that went well
Just an idea
Thanks for you consideration :47_002:
my no-ip is now going through

Display Moreafternoon folks.
can anyone tell me if its possible to hook up some sort of multi lnb system to an existing sly dish (zone 1 i assume it is)?
lookin at 13e + 19e only atm.
30w was another but i think thats too far round the arc for a *** dish.
any reliable solutions plz post
tia
I have seen 13, 19 and 28 on a zone 2 dish, but as brad says zone 1 dish is too small
It is because of the new sly pairing encryption that has been put in place, everybody else is in the same boat, there are already other threads on site discussing it if you have a search
Just to add, I have a similar setup to Inspiral, i have a 1m dish with 13e 19.2e and 23.5e with the main focus on 19.2e (the strongest of the sats) - next to the 1m a zone 2 sly dish, then all 4 feeds into a diseqc switch and into the receiver
A picture below

Massive difference - Plus there is ZERO support here for clones mate
Sorry if i am off topic, but this happened to me when i had my uno, what i had done was accidentally stored my picons to flash rather than usb
In fact i made this mistake 2 or 3 times until i realised what i had done
I paid bein sports direct for a month on their connect service, looking like not compatible with this box tho....to point out all i want is 3pm football not interested in anything else. Will get a sat box if that works but dont believe can get their sat in the uk
The official beIN online service you have purchased is still an excellent service, you could connect your pc/laptop to the tv via hdmi and display the matches that way OR if you have a smart tv you may be able to watch it directly on there via an in built browser
It certainly puts things into perspective
