Hi. I have followed Gorski's instructions on installing Surfshark VPN on my Zgemma. I have followed this step-by-step but I cannot get this to work.
I have added my client.conf & password.conf to /etc/openvpn and rebooted. When I go into OpenVPN Setup, I can set Autostart to "enabled", and when I press the green button (start), it shows current status as running. All good so far.
Then I press the exit button on my remote to get out of the OpenVPN setup. The problem is that when I go back into OpenVPN setup, Current Status shows as "stopped". When I press the green button to restart, nothing happens, it stays on "stopped". If I play around by switching Autostart off then on again, then restarting, I can get it running.
Whilst the OpenVPN screen is open, showing the VPN service as "running", I then tried Putty and the wget -qO- http://ipecho.net/plain;echo command. It shows my IP address to be the same, whether OpenVPN is running or not running.
I've followed the instructions but something is clearly wrong. Has anyone else had any success with this and who could possibly help me set up Surfshark VPN on my OpenATV based Zgemma box? Many thanks.
