Thats because you need the mipsel version for the BlackHole image..

I tried that too. Now I get this message:
Package enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel wants to install file /user/script/uptime.sh
But that file is already provided by package *vuplus-blackhoe Execution finished!!
And nothing is installed. I have Blackhole 1.7.8 lite by the way.

As of right now I have the Blackhole 1.7.8 light image installed.

I am a newbie so I don't know how to do much with these tuners yet.
The thing is.. I have a DM 500 S that has MGCamd 1.14 on it.I have had it for about 3 years now and it works just fine..
I then bought the UNO because I wanted HD and all the other things it offers.
So what I want to do is -if possible -transfer the configuration files from my DM 500 to my UNO, so it will work the same way as the DM500.
    Is this possible?

Can I maybe install MGCamd on the UNO and edit the configuration files, or just overwrite them so they are identical to those on the DM500?

Is it possible to do? Will it work?

If I take a system backup(NOT an image backup), and I decide I want to try another image, can I restore my settings from the previous image to my new image?
Will Cccam, Mgcamd and all the other preconfigured emu's also be saved in this backup?
Or do I have to install these emu's and softcams and whatever (I am a newbie so I hardly know one from the other) on the new image first, and then transfer my settings to get everything working?

If we knew what image you had installed we could link you to an extra.url if it was available..

Just before the DM is finished booting, it say GP Project. So I guess this is the image used.
When I press the Blue Panel button, it says MGCamd 1.14. When I press the right arrow key, it says MGCamd / Ronald CS, and when I press the right arrow key again it says MGCamd 1.14 / NewCS 1.17. What does this mean exactly? Excuse me, but I am totally new to all this. Hope you can help me.

I downloaded a backup image of Blackhole 1.7.8 which I like, but would like to uninstall the 2 cams installed. They are Oscam7228 and CCam213.
I want to uninstall them because I want to install newcamd and mgcamd.
Can somebody tell me how to do this please?

    Never mind -just found out.

if you want to get a feel of what the box can do,, try one of my backup images to start,,only until you get an idea of what they are capable of..
Once you feel comfortable managing around it then go for a clean image then addon whatever interests you ..
there are so many options with this stb that you will be spoilt for choice ;)

I just installed your image -looks cool. I tried to access the UNO with dreambox control center v.2.96, but the password doesn't seem to work. I entered "linuxsat-support" as the password, and left the username blank.

I just bought a VU+ Uno a couple of days ago (receiving it tomorrow or the next day) and I was wondering what I should do first? Maybe install the latest firmware?
I am a newbie and I don't have any experience with these kinds of tuners, so I hope somebody can guide me a little. Maybe give some tips on a good image and add ons for the unit too, and which order to install them please. I presume I can do all this installation through the USB?

I have a DM500 S and I would like to know how to make a complete backup before I start experimenting with flashing images and so on. I am a newbie so I want to make sure I can get everything back to the way it is now. A friend of mine set this up for me. Now I want to learn how to do it myself. As far as I can see it now has a Gemini image and something called MGCamd on it.
So how do I do this?
Can I use Dreambox control Center and the built-in Telnet, and type -cat /dev/mtd/3 > /tmp/backup.img?
Will this image everything on the DM?
