Personally feel that Nav Sheld isnt great for IPTV. I'd go for Formuler Box 7days a week.

I've got both the 2017 and a later one i bought last year running tivemate and they are both brilliant. If i can leave the missis in charge of it and there are no complaints you know you are onto a winner :)

I like the proper tv remote for iptv :) I use the shield for PLEx which is brilliant but crap remote.

are you sure? for me the nvidia shield remote control is one of the best ever made.

Looking for a little bit of guidance here as I know this has been covered briefly before.

Effectively what I’m trying to do is view my channels from my ipad/laptop while I’m away from home. I’m also keen to share my sport feeds with a family member.

I currently have a Virgin hub 4.0 which I understand cannot accept a VPN setup but it can be used in modem mode. I understand that I would need to purchase a router that I can configure a VPN. I’m not prepared to open ports on my current router.

What are the logistics of sharing a feed from my dish to a 2^nd location via a URL Link? Would it be a case of editing the m3u file that Webif spits out?

Do is there anyway of getting a sly card from a sly hd amstrad reciever to work inside a sf8008 reciever?

Thanks Silkie, in my case I'm looking to view from my sf8008 receiver while away from home in another lcoation. I've read I can do this by setting a VPN on my router but I want to avoid the added expense as my current router cannot allow a VPN.

Can SAT-IP be used to view TV while away from the receiver in another location?

so from your post above if you are running Open ATV7.4 - all you need to do is FTP the above OSCAM and add your line details to the server file and the sly channels will clear?

Sly UK - SD and HD work

sly IT - SD and HD work

BUT getting the k1 and k2 pairing keys for sly UK and IT is not easily, like they can with sly DE and a working cam module that they enjoy there.

So without the pairing keys, only the channels that dont require pairing keys will decode.

So there you have it, pretty simple really.

Hi Folks, would there be an idiots guide to running sky germany on a SF8008. I have line details from a supplier that I have inserted into the server file inside tuxbox file.

Its opening some non sky channels but not the others. Do I need to edit settings?

I was using VLC App on the apple TV and cant even get file to open. VLC Apple TV seems to handle the 1080P content no problem but not 2160.
