Tried to manually enter my line but no good?

Hey folks, just got one of these boxes off the father.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get this up and running for him so that I can give him a line?

Ya full reboot, and killed power completely still no luck..

Might try a different image altogether..

Update is I got the package to install!

But alas it never fixed the problems I was having.

How do I make a backup of the image before I reflash?

And I presume I will lose all recordings?

OK, What the story is I have a vu duo running black pole. These few problems started occurring.

1. It says in updates I have 39 updates available, I press install reboot when done but it still says 39 after reboot?

2. I cannot download anything from the plugin menus any longer, just keep getting error not found?

3. Box has stopped going to standby after epg update?

Just changed the attributes but no joy

This is what Im trying to do

WARNING @ ALL BLACK POLE USERS
THERE IS A BUG IN V. 1.0 IMAGE.
THE BUG AFFECT THE FUNCTION "ONLINE BLACK POLE IMAGE UPDATE".

PLEASE INSTALL THIS FIX.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Upload file in /tmp
2) goto Black Pole Addons Manager (green -> yellow)
3) Click on Manual Install Bh/Bp packages

And theres a file attached which Ive downloaded

When I ftp to the box is it half way down the list with the arrow next to it or is there another one with /tmp in a folder somewhere?

The reason I ask is because what I'm trying to do isn't working!

where do you find cron jobs?

Does not return to standby mode.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Before the box used update and then revert back standby.

What I did was format fat32 via PC then put it into the lower USB slot, restart the box, go to crossEPG menu and inside config you should now be able to press right for USB option then download. If noting appears force reload plugin and you should have it.

My only problem at the moment is after a few days it reverts to flash which is very annoying.
