Glad you sorted it m8 but could you share with us how you sorted it, as stevejo says others will learn from this and this could be a great help to anyone experiencing difficulties with this issue
The only way to replicate the loss of movies ,sports and hd with a thomson paired card is to remove it from the server or have no entitlements hence my interest , there have been a few posts crying wolf about these boxes of late and its all unanswered as the issue does not exist
do a blind scan if you can or update your satellites.xml and try again
Seen as you amassed 125 views on this thread you may as well inform what the issue was so others may learn ,how you only had HD movies and sports issues with a thomson box
I just dont see the point in it for that even junger ,if you are running a server all family/peers know if its off its being rebooted/upgraded ,if its freezing to let you know ,no matter what your doing its seldom more than 5 mins but to have the need to message each box ,you need to look at the ip load it up login send the message , do the next one send the message and so on , by this time you are already back online whats the point , and you need all the networking/port forwarding done for every house , its a good laugh to sent a message to the tv from the laptop to the wife watching tv telling her to get them off shes on next , thats about all ,unless you want to have delusions of grandeur sending messages like the server god pmsl

I would not laugh about giving help needed but sorry for not seeing your post im working long and strange hours ATM ,do as caz has said and even try a backup of vix for speed of testing then you can decide if you like it then from there migrate properly if need be
This would need you to be able to access webif for every box to be able to do this ,an open port for every box not a safe option ,youlll be best sending them an email and using this function in your own home to annoy the wife while she is watching tv :)
Remember to back up your emu information if need be so you can just ftp it back in
dont alter your screen size in user interface and try the automatic resolution , in av settings ,and have everything set to just scale i found this issue only ever did occur setting the screen size ,most times the sceen overlaps the edges because the tv setting is wrong,you should not have any issues leaving settings at default

Best you look at the model of box your sly card is coming out of before you spend any money
Maybe best you tell us what model of slybox its out ,maybe not possible with your card

re-post 9 yes you will loose it on the original card it will just become a full sly sub if thats what you have ,the multiroom card you wish to start will only have a full sly sub unless you want it all on the new card as described you cant have it all on both cards so you need to decide what config of the cards suits you , a second card will serve no purpose unless you have loads of peers hitting your card ,and if you want it as a safe guard

no you just ask will i have all my same stuff on the other box ,they will say no, you say ah ok , i put this one here and that one there but this will be my main room can you put all the stuff to that box to save me having to move everything round again i wasnrt aware of that , thanks

I would go with the thomson , later youll need to then call them again to swap services to the thomson , and what i mean by this is if you have bt sports and boxnation porn etc this wont be on the thomson card /multiroom itll be on the other one as that will be set as your main box , or be cute and ask them at the time and say your swapping them about and the conservatory will be your main viewing area lol ,this is only if you have extra stuff a full sly sub is not subject to this ,good luck buddy !

There is no harm in me trying the multiroom idea, I can always see what they say. They might not insist on the phone line being plugged in if it's not a free box.

There is no solid proof that it will not work ,there has been a few post claiming that it wont ,I have forced an update and used a card in the box and it still works just to find out if there is any change itll be at the initial pairing as it isnt on version etc so to be honest your back is against a wall so try you have nothing to loose , if it doesnt work just call next day and cancel the multiroom sub you still have the right to do it ,you need to pair in the box though
