hi all found picons online ive downloaded a few sets for 28.2e but there an ipk file and when i try to install on the solo2 they do not install how can theses be converted so they can be put onto a usb pen?
am using vu solo2 running vix apollo 008

We are both sharing from the same person both solo and solo2 are working fine at my house and my solo2 is working fine at dad's house it's strange
Hi it's summoned am shearing with I also put the line into my solo 2 and it's working ok
I also checked dhcp is active
I can use ts media etc so the box is connected to the net
Am using talk talk dads using bt router would I have to open his port on the router to 13000?

I setup a vu solo for my father running vix Helios build 17 everything is working fine at my house but when I take the solo over to his house I cannot get the cam to work at all.
The solo is connected to the internet I ran the network test all ok
Restarted the cam
Checked the cccfg file and line all ok
When I go to menu, setup, softcam/ci, cccam info, shares I can see eg: dummy.naf.dynns.org 13000 but it's red and it should be green
Any ideas what's wrong or what am doing wrong? As I've said when I take the solo back to my house all is working fine bit strange.
Hi all I've had another go at this all seem to be working fine now using vix Helios build 011
Go to
Menu,Setup,System,Network,Mounts setup,Network Browser,Scan Network
Then select my book live (DO NOT EXPAND)
Green button Mount Manager
Add new network mount point
Mount using FSTAB (mount at boot)
Active ENABLE
Local share name MY BOOK LIVE
Mount type CIFS SHARE
Server IP ENTER YOUR OWN 192.125.*.*.*
Server share FILMS (or what ever you have your films/movies folder called)
Use as hdd replacement NO
Mount options rw,utf8
Username Linuxsat
Password 1234
Green Save
To check if the mybook live is active press
Menu,information,devices
Should be at the bottom Network servers
Or bring up the recordings list then press yellow button (location) and my book live should show and all your movies/films should be working
Hope this helps anyone trying to mount an external drive
Have you got ts panel plugin? If so open it then go to uninstaller and remove skin reboot the solo
not sure whats going on there try these one's i have attached these are not my work i just changed the service ref numbers.
Hi what picon set are you using? Do you store them on a USB? If so remove the USB pen form the receiver and stick it into the laptop open the picon folder scroll down to bt sport 1 hd right click on the mouse go to properties simply change the service ref number then save. Put the USB back into the box then reeboot.

Yes I've checked with the blue button my book live is not listed in vix Helios. I might have a go again later am in Portrush enjoying the sun
Hi all I've just updated to vix Helios build010 and the solo2 will not expand the my book live 2tb drive and it does not show in mount manager. I had a smiler problem with vix Zeus but it seem to mount in the end.
I have reverted back to vix Zeus build 023 and the drive is working fine.
This is how I normally mount the my book live
Menu, setup, network, network browser, then select my book live expand then select films green button mount.
Fill in the mount as required then save.
I have worked at this for 2 hours with no joy could this be a driver issue?

Repeat daily
Green button save
Then go to providers and select your location (n.ireland hd) or England or Scotland
Generate main bouquet yes (custom)
Green button save
Then go to start scan
That should be you all done
Have you configured cross EPG? If not press menu, setup,system,EPG,settings,EPG location set to media hdd or USB (NOT FLASH) then save
Go to crossepg open tv providers and select sly uk open tv (astra on 28.2) save
Go to configure, scheduled download once a day, scheduled download at 4.00am save
Download now
That should be you channel list and EPG all sorted. Hope this helps

Yes that's how you check the image your probably using vix 3.0 build 808. If this is the version you are using there is no more updates for it. Vix Zeus 023 is the latest image and this requires flashing the box to install.
Just try another soft cam for vix am using cccam 2.30 download from plugins
Press blue button

Install local extension
Or download from here then FTP to temp folder

Remember to reboot the box
Then go to soft cam manager and activate cccam
The box from his bed room works in the living room so all the cables from lnb and dish seem to be working. The box from the living room does not work in the bed room. We also check all connections all seem fine.
We flashed the box with original vu firm ware then reflashed the box with vix Zeus and setup all up again all is working fine now not sure what was wrong with it

vu solo2 running vix 808
my friends solo2 is displaying tuner no service found. no channels are working and is on the vix boot logo and no epg working either also says timeshift not possiable.
he has two of these boxes bought from WOS they are about 3 months old i have swaped the box from his bed room to living room and it working fine.
i have also flashed his box with vix zues (a backup from my box) and still getting the same problems also tried flashing black hole, just did a service scan its saying 0 services found.
i also swaped the sat feeds around at the rear of box still no joy could the tuner be faulty?
does any one have any other ideas i can try before he sends the box back to WOS

I had a similar issue with my book live after I updated to vix Zeus the solo2 could see the my book live in the network but would not let me expand the drive to access the films I had. I just remounted the my book drive a few time and got this message (the drive already exists do you want to mount again) just say yes and ree boot the receiver each time it seemed to work after the third time
