    Are they both originals buddy? if they are clones you will see a sticker on the rear or under side stating what version they are...

    I read yesterday about clones with stickers stating the version. I had a look and could not find any. I'll have another look when I get home from work but I'm pretty sure there were none.

    Are there any other tell tale signs of a clone Vu+ Solo box?

    I got two VU+ Solo boxes from a mate, he asked me to help him set them up. One is used, and one is fresh out of the tin.

    Problem I am having is; after flashing the system with a USB I just get a black screen. My TV is telling me that it's getting a signal but there is no image at all.

    I've tried openPLI and vix. Both the newest and older versions of the before mentioned images. Using the standard procedure of turning
    the system off, plugging in the USB(with the right folder structure and files). Then I turn the system back on and wait for the LED to flash
    green. Remove the USB stick and restart the system.

    What I find frustrating to say the least is that the same thing happens with both boxes.

    I removed brltty and I still get the same error. I am running Debian 6 on VMware esxi. It worked perfect until I had a power out, now it doesn't work no matter what I do. New install, my backup copy of of the VM.

    The smargo readers slowly blink green with no card in, but when I put a card in there is no light at all and I keep getting:

    26/07/2013 00:20:29 937C1F8 r viasat [smartreader] usb bulk write failed : ret = -7
    26/07/2013 00:20:39 937DB50 r canaldigital [smartreader] usb bulk write failed : ret = -7

    maybe after 15min I get:

    I would love any help. :still_dreaming:

    some more from the oscam log at startup:

    I had a server running fine with oscam/CCcam on debian 6. The power went out and when it got back up again
    it was not working. Same setting, same everything. even the same usb id-numbers 002:004, 002:005 etc etc.

    I had an image of the working server. Applied it but got the same error.

    I reinstalled everything in the same manner as I did when I got the working setup but to no avail, I still got the same error.

    The error I'm getting is:

    Code
    1/07/2013 18:59:58 95DF470 r canaldigital [smartreader] usb bulk write failed : ret = -7
    1/07/2013 18:59:59 95D6A70 r viasat [smartreader] usb bulk write failed : ret = -7

    My oscam/CCcam config is as follows:

    humm it says that only one of the users is online. does that have some thing to do with the first user using port 10000 and the other using poty 10001.

    I tried adding:

    [newcamd]
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314
    port = 10001@0b00:000000
    keepalive = 1

    to get ccam to connect to the second user, but then the first user wouldn't connect either :(

    and I'm still only getting 7 entitlements on the canaldigital card :\ is that right?

    it's getting there

    0xb7202060 r 2 canaldigital ON OFF 127.0.0.1 0 smartreader 19.12.12 18:33:06 00:09:12 0000:0000 no data 00:09:12 CARDOK (7 entitlements)

    it's getting there, but I'm only getting 7 entitlements

    and how would should my F: line and C: line for CCcam server and CCcam.conf look on my dreambox?

    [global]
    nice = -1
    WaitForCards = 1
    pidfile = /var/run/oscam.pid
    logfile = /var/log/oscam.log
    usrfile = /var/log/oscamuser.log
    cwlogdir = /var/log/cw
    maclogsize = 10000
    preferlocalcards =
    ClientTimeout =
    CacheDelay =
    saveinithistory =
    [webif]
    httpport = 8888
    httpuser = admin
    httppwd = admin
    httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255
    # protocols
    [newcamd]
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314
    port = 10000@096C:000000

    [account]
    user = test1
    pwd = test2
    group = 1

    is there anything wrong with my F: and C: line?

    I have two smargo readers in my debian server. One Viasat card and a Canal Digital card

    I get Entitlements on my viasat card but not on my CD card. From oscam web interface:

    0xb7201480 r 1 viasat ON OFF 127.0.0.1 0 smartreader 19.12.12 17:49:56 00:00:42 0000:0000 no data 00:00:42 CARDOK (107 entitlements)

    none form the Canal Digital card. my oscam.server file:

    [reader]
    label = viasat
    protocol = smartreader
    device = 002:002
    boxid = <MYBOXID>
    ecmwhitelist = 093E:88,84,AA,A6,68,98
    detect = cd
    mhz = 480
    cardmhz = 357
    group = 1
    emmcache = 1,1,2
    blockemm-g = 1

    [reader]
    label = canaldigital
    protocol = smartreader
    device = 002:003
    caid = 0b00
    ident = 0b00:000000
    EMMCache = 1,1,0
    group = 1

    My second problem.
    oscam is connected to CCcam on my server(from cccam web interface):

    127.0.0.1:10000 |00d 00:10:24|newcamd| | | 1 |

    in my CCcam.conf file I added a F: line: F: username password

    on my dreambox CCcam.conf I added a C: line C: <local IP> 12000 username password

    in cccam web interface it says the client is connected:

    |nisroc |<local IP to dreambox> |00d 01:01:23|00d 01:01:23|0 (0)|0 (0)|2.3.0 | |

    but I get no image or audio

    help please. any one who do IU will love long time ;)

    here is my oscam.conf file:

    [reader]
    label = viasat
    protocol = SmartReader
    detect = CD
    group = 1
    emmcache = 1, 1, 2
    ecmcache = 1
    device = 002:002
    boxid =
    ecmwhitelist = 093E:88,84,AA,A6,68,98
    blockemm-g = 1

    [reader]
    label = canaldigital
    protocol = SmartReader
    detect = CD
    group = 1
    emmcache = 1, 1, 2
    ecmcache = 1
    device = 001:005

    I got another problem, cant figure out how to restart oscam, and every time I reboot the device number keeps changing

    and is Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 USB-Serial (UART) IC the right device? I expected it to say smargo?

    I have used the install script for Debian 6 and for the readers I've used the configs from "How to Install Ubuntu Server 10.04 + Oscam + Smargo Reader"

    when I hit lsusb i get:

    Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
    Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

    Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

    when I run "tail -f /var/log/oscam.log" I get:

    18/12/2012 00:24:40 9722DE8 r canaldigital [smartreader] Cannot open device: 002:001

    I'd be thankful for any help or links that may help me.
