Ok we have confirmed the box is alive!
I think its just a bad flash now..
Not high up on this side of the recievers so you may be better off waiting until the morning when Master G and Ten are around! They will have past experience at this!

"unplug box from the mains
connect null modem cable between your box and pc's com port
connect the box and the supplied psu but don't plug it in to the mains yet
disconnect all other cables
on pc, start universal DreamUp
select correct pc com port
untick 'use network'
click connect.
when you see the message 'connection prepared, now switch on the dreambox', now plug in box to mains
click flash then navigate to your desried image file
when finished, exit dreamup.
leave it powered off for a while, then it should boot"
If you can't get it working after trying all those methods, wait for Master G or Ten Below!...
Hopefully they'll have the answer!
Seems to happen a lot and just needs to be recovered!...

Been reading a bit and is the green light stuck on the box?
Have you tried the old trick of turning it off at the mains??
Prob won't work but its a shot!..

Just thinking and there are a few possibilities!
Try flash erase several times and reflash with a different image...
Try different versions of the dream up, have seen a person with the same problem and tried several different versions of dream up and managed to flash the box again!
Hope it wasnt gemini v.4.31 you flashed it with!!

Basically you'll need a 4 input DiSEqC box or bigger if your thinking of adding a few extra lnbs later!
Have plenty co-ax as you could mess up once or twice! lol...
When you get your stuff check out this website! I've heard a few lads who set up those dishes found it helpful!

The { 0:0:2 } refers to the amount of hops you wish to take...
Thats used when putting it into a ccam.cfg usually....

Just from what i have seen mate it is a dm500s clone and that ebay link states clearly it will work...
Flash it with a dm500s clone image and you'll be sorted m8!

They test it...
And send you one back then mate...

Yes you need to flash it but i'd wait until we see what images are actually compatible first!
