I tried several different OS's to try and install CSP but kept getting a Java error..

Finally someone gave me guidance to the following tutorial on a PC website..

This installs Java on the linux pc and CSP will work grand after it!

The Sun Java JDK is available in the Debian Lenny non-free repository, therefore you must modify /etc/apt/sources.list…

vi /etc/apt/sources.list

and add non-free to the Debian Lenny repositories:

deb http://mirrors.kernel.org/debian/ lenny main non-freedeb-src http://mirrors.kernel.org/debian/ lenny main non-free







deb http://security.debian.org/ lenny/updates main non-freedeb-src http://security.debian.org/ lenny/updates main non-free

Run

apt-get update

Install the Java JDK as follows:

apt-get install sun-java6-jdk

Installed it on a VPS earlier today, it takes getting used to and knowing what your doing but is a nice challenge!

I started off on a 5000sd and found it a big culture shock when i switched to a dreambox..

So before you make your decision do a bit of research yourself and have plenty of tutorials read so that you will know the basics!

I agree with Ten Below, Vu+ seem the way to go at the moment! Also check out the Xtrends they seem a good reciever for the money also!

Digitalb a few years ago and Tring playing games the past few months!

Pretty much useless!

My first bit of advise to you is to buy a Black Inverto Ultra LNB...

It will boost your signal by 10% at least..

I'm in the south of Ireland and with a 1m dish and black inverto lnb i can get 85% on most of the 16 east beams!

Sadly can't get the nordic beams on 4.8 west here though!

On a 9000hd you can only use newcamd as the server type mate..

Its a personal choice!

There is no such thing as "the best image!"

As you can add on epg, picons, etc to any image..

I like Dream Elite Blackhole Pheonix edition ssl84..

The best way to flash is via the web browser!

Take a look at enigma 2 tutorials, there is a video tutorial of how to do it there!
