Further to above it is dependent of what image you are using as to where the configs go. If you are using openatv then config files go into us/keys.

If you can get back into the webif you can also enter you server details by first clicking the files tab at the top of the page the select server.

Robijay thanks for the image playing with the image at the moment, on my version the cool egp is not working on the back up image, just now and next is working and by going into the plugin and trying to save it it does nothing. How do you remove plugins on the image? by going into plugins and then manage plugins and un ticking the file it does not remove it. I do not see a planel to remove plugins. I would remove and try re install.

    Bumpty Bump,

Anyone have any knowledge of whats going on above. I have moved over to vti image and if the machine comes out of deep standby I have to restart the cam to get glitch free viewing. Can anyone post any configs where I just add access to my server. This would be for multisat viewing.

    Evening all.

I am getting some glitching in oscam 11196 on vu solo 4k but it only does it some of the time and if I reboot the box and restart the cam I can have glitch free viewing. It may take a couple of reboots and restarts but I get good viewing. Not sure what the problem is but i was wondering if any of you more knowledge could have a look at these logs.

When I'm getting glitching see log below. All I can see is massive ecm times.

I'm just trying to work out where the problem is. If this breaks any rules please delete this thread

    Thanks

Get a c line then use cccamtooscam convertor 1.2 then copy the converted details into oscam.server that can be found in usr/keys.

On 11196 I get two opposites, I can get a perfect glitch free viewing and then I can get a picture that freezes every 8 seconds. A restart of the cam sends it back to glitch free. When running smooth its connecting to my server in under 2ms. When its glitching there are extra lines of texts between key changes I don't understand the info though.

if you put your box's ip address into your computer followed by :8888 it should allow you into the oscam status page. Under proxies and clients it should come up and give you information on your server and what access to cards you have.

I knew under cccam that my connection was stable I have since found been playing with with oscam on various versions. What I did was use a back up image from linux-sat I think it was openatv 5.1, within that image oscam was set up with files and configs already there. I pasted my info into oscam.server and then took a copy of all the files in that directory. So when I change images I install oscam and copy all the files back, then reboot the box and restart the cam. I then open the oscam webif and look under live status. As i'm not exactly clued up on what does off in oscam I can just look whats going on in live status. I know if i have got a stable oscam set glitch free that when looking at live status is shows a key change every 8 seconds and say something about ecm found in so many milisecons, if I don't get that it comes up with a few different lines of text and I get gitches. A restart of the cam usually gets it all back working again. Very strange not a complete answer but hopefully it helps. I think I am using 11196.

copy you and paste your details into oscam.server you can just add it to whats already in there. whilst your in those files look in oscam.conf and see what port the webif is using and make a note of the password. Save the files and restart the cam. Then try and see what is going in oscam by entering your boxs ip into your computers browser and then add :(then server port) example 192.168.2.70:7777 then you will be able to see if there are any connections.

I asked the complete opposite about a week ago. On open atv this was the reply by masterG

Press and hold the blue button for extensions menu > Disable minitv. (you will need to enable) No sure on other images.

I am using the vu solo 4k open atv 5.1 back up made by yourself, it comes complete with oscam 11196 installed. If I pasted my info into the oscam.server file and restart I can see the info I need in the webif and I may get the odd glitch very rarely. I installed the 11202 ipk oscam file today for openatv and it wiped the setting for 11196 I copied by details to the oscam.server and did a restart of the cam. The gllitching is terrible so I have factory reset the box and loaded back to 11196. I was testing oscam before I bought the 4k on a tm-nano-se (i know different chip set) but i got the same results using different version of oscam. It seems as though the stock oscam file does dont run fast enough. The best version I had I noticed that when I went into the webif the front page was updating to show live info everytime there was a key change but on 11196 from the back up it shows maybe 5 seconds of info and then does not update. I hope this makes sense.

There seems to be a lot more going on under the bonnet of oscam that there seems. Let say you have access to a private server and you use cccam to oscam convertor if you just copy and paste the information into oscam.server then I seem to get a glitchy experience, but if you take an ipk file from on here that has been modded and do the same then you get a happy viewing experinece. There seems to be lots more information needed for the config files than just the server info.

    Morning

Could someone please explain how to install the latest oscam11203.tar.gz file to 4k solo manually.

I sent the file to the tmp folder, and renamed it shorter to oscam-svn11203.tar.gz I then followed the instruction found elsewhere below.

send tar.gz file to folder tmp
log in via telnet to the box,
change with "cd /tmp to the folder and type (without "" and changing filename to actual filename)
"tar -xzvf filename.tar.gz -C /" and press enter

The files seemed to unzip and I rebooted the box but the softcam did not come up in the softcam menu system. Where am I going wrong.

Has anyone else noticed there there is power going to their motor even whilst the 4k solo is in stanby? Im running the masterg openatv image 5.1 back up. Can anyone checked on other images to see if its the same.

I have just flahsed the back up image from masterg but where in the menu system do you have control of what is on the mini screen on the front of the box, watching a mini version of what is on the main screen is very off putting and I would like to change it to show something else.
