  • Technomate TM-Nano 2 Super

    I got a tm nano 2 super myself as a box for the spare room, having a solo2 as my main box in the living room. Now some people may not agree with me or I may in fact be getting something wrong but with both boxes set up the same on the same tv with connecting leads, fresh image ect. I notice a difference in picture between the two boxes on sd channels with the solo2 being the better of the two. Also tried on another tv as well. So I'd hold out for the solo2 if I was the op

    That's what I'm thinking superdroid, as long as the tv side of things is rock solid that's all that matters. If it was for myself it would be a complete different matter. Thinking about going with my first choice, that was the vu duo, what's your thought on the technomate 3t?
    I have a tm nano 2 super and to be honest the vu+ solo2 gives me a better picture on sd than the technomate does


    Reason I ask about the 3t is because I have been offered one second hand with hard drive installed

    Looking a box for a friend and unsure what to get, needs to be a twin tuner image support form vix as that is what she is used to from being at our house. The bit I'm stumped with is finding one that will take a 3.5 inch hard drive? As she has one of these and it would save money to use it rather than buy a 2.5


    Would the vu duo be my only option out round that price range? I know it's starting to show its age a bit so wouldn't mind setting her up with something a little fresher and quicker if at all possible though the box will be just used for watching tv no need for Xbmc/kodi or any other fancy things so maybe I'm over thinking it?

    Great job, used the tvaddons confg wizard just to see what way it worked and it done a fab job after changing the default player... I have never tried to use open vpn but that my next port of call, has anyone got a guides for setting this up with hma account?

  • Internal hard drive mount problem

    Hi peeps was wondering if any of you's could help me with a little problem, I have a vu solo2 myself and had no problems installing and mounting my internal hard drive. My younger brother having seen it up and running was looking a set up something like mine so I ordered him a vu+ duo from wos with great service and speedy delivery as always. Though i have run in to a problem with mounting my hard drive it is a 500gb hard drive that was removed from a sly uk box, after flashing the box with vix 3.0 latest build (unsure of build number) and going through the set up process i tried to mount the hard drive i thought all had gone well as i was asked to restart box after setting mount point as hdd so i restarted box and went to check the mount was ok but it was not there and had not been mounted. with the mount having failed i thought i should initialize the hard dive so i preceded to do this % wise it stuck at 51 percent for a while then moved on untill near the end of the process but failed at 98/99 while setting the mount with a pop up screen error saying that initialize and timed out


    i tried another image to see it this was the problem it was one of the new black hole images 2. something but still no joy
    I then removed the hard drive and gave it to a friend who formatted it to fat32 with cmd, popped it back in to the vu duo and tried to mount still no joy and the same pop up when a tried to initialize as well.


    Any help would be great, anything else i should be doing ect? before I phone wos for some suppport

    Hi as title says, this is the first vu duo i have had its a clone by the way, there is an old stock vu+ image on it that i would like to change to either blackhole or vix... could anyone talk me through the process of how long the usb needs to be ect? can it even be done with out the vdf display working?
