Does anything pop up onscreen when you insert you're USB? Get an empty USB stick and let the box format it for you. Do this by going to media then HDD information and press yellow for format. Mine is FAT.

You're best bet would be to contact the supplier of you're box just in case you flash the wrong firmware to the box. -

Great box for maybe starting off or to use as a second box in maybe bedroom or kitchen. Very easy to get started with. We have every tutorial you can think of here and if you get stuck sure we are here to help.

The only way I got it to work was by using a desktop pc with a dedicated rs232 port, no messing with USB converters.

Is it a motorised or fixed set up you have? Have you done all tinkering in the menu?

Some sly channels cause a reboot. Have a read of this http://linuxsat-support.com/op…ting-problem-openbox.html. You could also load a new channel list, the problem channels would be removed.
