as the title says how to tell a vu+ uno clone from genuine and does it really matter if my uno is a clone?

Hi *** pirate. would appreciate a channel list for 28 deg. only.
-
to delete the old channel list: just open the menu and you will see a menu option edit channel. highlight and press ok.
you will then see tv channel list radio channel list fav and delete all. just select delete all and press ok.
reboot box -
allways a good idea to delete the old channel list, but not really necessary

thanks for the new firmware. i will give it a try, i seem to have problems with cccam on this box and have had other people tell me the same (freq. freezing, although ok using the same line in openbox)
I dont have spanish setting/channels for this box. use mainly uk channels -
fRUTTiFrESH can u tell me where you are getting this firmware from? hove u used this box successfully with cccam?

dont belieive all o the bad stories you hear. excellent receiver for the money. never had freezing issues with them.

thanks both for you answers, i thought that would be the answer to be honest, but in the rural area i live in I am alway looking at other ways with the internet
-
just a general question really.
has anyone used a internet via satellite isp for cardsharing. either as a server or client?
are there any reasons why would not work successfully/ ie delay/latency -
thanks for reply, but the receiver is 102E, think it must be a new model.
but looks pretty much the same set up.

you dont have to hard wire to your router. all you have to do is connect the bridge to a pc on your network. search for connected bridge, then put the wep/wpa key into the section where is asks for passphrase (or something like that)
and away you go. just connect to your openbox and should work. -
mine works ok using wpa2 and aes

I also have similar props with openbox. I started a thread on it about a week ago.
i cannot get openbox to open F1 channel. if i put my sly card which has HD sub (no sports) in my ubuntu server or directly into the card slot of the openbox s9 or s12 no F1 channel (all other HD channels ok). however put the card in my sly box, F1 ok.
if i connect to a friends server which has full sub including sports the F1 works ok in openbox.
very strange, have tried different softwares on openboxes -
@ rikjaard-real
i first used a smargo with ubunutu cccam/oscam.
every morning i had this error message:
(38145.242103)ftdi-sio ttyusb: unable to read latency timer: 32there are several threads on the forum about this message and i followed the info but could never get rid permanatly (if i rebooted it was ok, until the following morning, i assume the error occured when oscam restarted in the night)
my original smargo was clone, i purchased a new genuine one the fault remained. (i must say that the server continuied to work ok despite this error message.anyway i bought a omnikey reader for about €10 and worked perfecly.
the upside is it also reduced the ecm times.
with the smargo ecm times ranged between about 120m/s to 140m/s
with the omnikey around the 95m/s
