re-installed python-simplejson_2.2.1-r0_mips32el.ipk which should fix the no module named decimal issue but still the message "some plug ins unavailable
no module named decimal" appears.
any ideas please?

followed the instructions on #5 by ten below.

seemed to install ok but I then get this message:

dm800se with open atv 3.0 image

Hi, I have a dm800se with openatv 3.0 image. I would like to know where to install the files from the post #5.

I can download the on demand player from the add on plug ins menu, but although it show the programs, nothing will play.
any help appreciated.

no need to install mgcamd. simply put the n line in the cccam.cfg folder and start cam and will work fine.

is your dm 800se genuine or clone. I ask because I have not managed to get on demand working either.
I have also a omnibox evo m7 and the media portal and on demand work flawlessly. (the ondemand working without vpn outside the uk)

could you be more specific on how you have this working on dm 800se as I have had very little success.

one of the real bonuses with this box is the on-demand plug in works OUTSIDE OF THE UK.
I would like to know how and be able to use this on me dm800se

press menu; press plugin; press download plugins (usually green button)
look thru list of plugins downloaded and u will see ts media (may be in a folder called extensions)
download it then reboot box.
should then see ts media either in main menu or plug ins menu (depends on image)

what box do you have?

does anyone have this plug in working ok on dm 800se? if so what image you using?

also I have seen a new image for dm800se called SWE with open vpn. what does this actually mean (open vpn)

1 channel is not working at the moment even on apple tv

so which version are u using on dreambox, i have tried v3.5.2 and although loads up ok and looks good. very few channels work.

no Filmon
no porn
no 1 channel ( i understand is down at the mo)

a lot of the usa sport and news seem ok

is this plug in for VU only or for Dreamboxx as well

I have done a bit of research on this issue and the conclusions I came to were:
the best receiver is without doubt the technomate 5432. although I know it works ok on similar receivers (clarketech/blade etc)
not possible on Linux receivers.
generally speaking not possible on the ariva either, although there is a company close to me on the costa blanca who actually did a firmware for the ariva with the codes built in.
however when the biss key changed, as it did about 3 months ago, it was not possible to edit the biss keys, had to wait for firmware update.

I have a 800hd (actually called a Ibox 800hd.) sort of works ok. but only sd channels (probably tuner)
also have 800se which works perfectly for about 10 mins then locks up and has to be rebooted.
if you are interested make me offer on either or both.

why are they not recent blackhole images for dm800se (original) ??
or if there are i cant find them

there seem to be many threads and many conflicting stories of what bricks the box. so can anyone tell me which is the latest working firmware for S9
