Hi guys,
Have a dm500c in barbados. The cable scene has gone to CS since N3 came out. I have a box with an image on out there that works but the box is locked down so I cant get in to it to have a look at the config etc. I don't want to reload it as I want to save the image. Is there a way I can gain access if the root and dreambox default P/W have been changed. They charge an arm and a leg out there for setting these boxes up which is a big ripoff.

I have my oscam running on my debian server and smargo reader no probs am using config from this tut http://linuxsat-support.com/os…pdating-entitlements.html so I believe it should auto update card. Just subscribed to another £1 package to get the discovery channels and they haven't cleared yet. Sly say anytime from immediately to 24hrs. Do I need to do anything when adding a new package or should it come on stream. Or do I need to stop start oscam or summat.

Hi Rikjaard, just found out his internet is over satellite he says its a rolling 4 gig over 28 days allowance (whatever that is? I suppose max allowed before capped) and says he cant do shares due to that. He is on a small island called andros that is fairly behind re technology. so I think he is looking for a cam/card solution.

This request is for a mate in greece He has a technomate TM5400 CI plus usb super and he's looking at Hotbird 13E. I am going out there in a months time and he wants me to help get him up and running so to speak.
Now the last time I did sat I had a motorised system and a matrix reloaded cam and a bunch of fun/opus/titanium cards which I used to prog with my pheonix usb progger. My question is...
Whats gettable on hotbird 13E now?
Does he need a Viaccess Cam or some other to maximise his options
are there any files available for said cards at the moment?
I mysef have a sub to SLY and use dreamboxes around the house and oscam server to locally share so am out of touch regarding anything else.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated guys. Just need to know my starting point for him.
Hi LFC thanks for reply. I didn't rebuild from scratch. I installed from scratch a few weeks ago and just want to update to latest oscam version so just tried to do from step indicated above but get that error message

Hi Master g this is not an infinity usb smart its this version.. WB Electronics
version 1.6 build 1529. I have the latest drivers Jan 2011. It is set to boot up in pheonix mode with frequency of 3.579 mhz so all looks good there. As stated am back on debian now but it wont do an update to the latest oscam as stated.

Have you setup the smartcard clock frequency on the reader itself with the nftytool ?

OK everybody thanks for input but my original post was channels not clearing. It was fixed by the boxkey I am running windows oscam and pheonix cardreader. I was running debian 6 and oscam svn 5692 and had to put boxkey in that.
My problem now is that the channels clear ok and then freeze after about 10 mins. I switch channel to another sports channel and blank screen again?? I have to restart oscam and they will clear again. Web i/f looks ok but as a newbie there may be stuff in there I am not seeing. Box says online card reader shows good and all entitlements ok. First time I have used a pheonix reader as I used a smargo on my debian server. Could it be pheonix reader

Cheers Master G it was the boxkey. ifcforever, I have tried without the boxkey when I first setup oscam and it didn't work I have always had to enter the boxkey. For some reason my boxkey was changed in oscam server?? but now I have redone it everything now OK. Top forum Top support

I swear by malwarebytes free edition just ensure you do an update before scanning. keep doing the update until it says you have the latest version. Then a quick scan will usually find most. Personally I find this one the best
M8 its easy if u follow ten belows install debian with cccam linked above. I have a revo. just get the image onto a bootable usb stick and follow instructions. I then setup oscam to one dreambox. I put an end to end tut for that bit on here as well have a look around m8. much better if u load ur own rather than an image as u learn more IMHO. Hope this helps m8
I couldn't get it to work on that image either just gave me a blank screen. I have loaded the pli image and the latest vlc player and it worked straight out of the box no probs it was openpli-2.0-beta-dm800-20110715-sim2.02 SSL82 and vlc was 1.1.9 just followed the tut and job done.
Guys I have it setup all ok and my pheonix reader works ok with my sly card as I can see it open ok in web i/f. Quick question. My setup is configured for my server at the moment and all dreamboxes have an N line with the linux sever IP addy in it. If I want to switch to windows I assume I need to add another N line but what ip do I use ? the web i/f on windows is 127.0.0.1 and my pc is 192.168.0 xx what should go in the new Nline.
