    Hi guys at mo I am using an N: line with oscam using newcamd. If I want to use the Cline do I just add this to my oscam config...

    [cccam]
    # for your clients with CCCam (i.e. they have a C: line)
    port = 12000
    # or whatever you use.
    reshare = 0
    ignorereshare = 0
    version = 2.1.3
    updateinterval = 240
    minimizecards = 0
    stealth = 1

    Just change the port and CCcam version. Then configure my client with the appropriate cline

    Is this correct? cheers guys

    Sorted, Thanks for the quick response glenview. I found out the problem for some reason cccam stopped working on the dreambox rebooted and all is well should have done a bit more investigation b4 posting. Saw that my box was offline in oscam so only channel;s I woz getting were the basic FTA. All sorted now

    Hi guys,
    I have a strange one here I have a dm500 and 2 dm800s all using oscam to internally share via a debian 6 server with smargo card reader and my sly card. I nticed that on one dm800 I am missing lots of FTA channels like alabi 5* etc I thought OK download the latest SGTflipflop update and load that. well that didn't fix it. I have just replaced the image on this one with a PLI jade so I thought OK rescan. That didnt fix it. I have looked at the other dm800 and its fine and also the dm500.

    Any ideas on where to go from here guys have checked the frequency FEC etc and its all ok. Cheers guys

    Woz promised a separate modem by one of their supervisors which was a load of tosh as all new installs now are using superhub. Old 50mb modems not available. The user forums on vermin media are full of people complaining about this hub. Even the engineers are slagging it off. This firmware has been a long time coming. I even asked if I could be part of the beta test for it. They ditched 27 and are now releasing 28 (supposedly) I will follow the forums to see what difference it makes just out of interest. Infinity say they can give me 29mb in my area (we shall see) but a slower reliable connection has to be better than what I have at mo.

    Hub number 5 being delivered on tuesday and I am in my 30 day cancellation phase. Be glad to see the back of em. have had nothing but trouble dropouts all the time I have written to sheila burgess Director of customer relations but to be honest they have had all the chances I am prepared to give em. Infinity being delivered on 9th august. Although not as fast it is cheaper by the month as well.

    Hi Guys I have a place in barbados and am out there in november. I used to use cable out there on MCTV they have gone to nagra 3 now like vermin. I have decided to try and do summat with satelite out there (Dont all rush to come give me a hand LOL). At the moment they have some kind of cardshare on their cable MCTV network but charge huge amounts and is glitchy as hell.

    I think they use direct TV 101w but am confirming that at the moment along with the encryption. If I take a dreambox out with me say 500s with an image loaded over here would it work? or will I need an image for out there so to speak? I have a communial dish so that is already in place.

    Just dipping my toe in the water at the moment and asking for any thoughts or advice. cheers guys.

    PS house is able to be rented lol (touting for business lol)

    Guys none of this is my work but I have spent ther last several days getting my first server off the ground with excellent help from here plus different tutorials. I am up and running now and thought I would put together the end to end process I went through. It was a good learning experience......

    End to end setup of debian server with OScam and one dreambox using smargo sharing Sly locally

    First go here http://linuxsat-support.com/li…-auto-install-script.html (Thanks to Ten Below) and install package and give it a static address then ssh into the server as root using putty.
    Now follow the Tut below (not my work credits to Kapzaz for this)

    1) Prepare for compile with installing new needed packs:
    apt-get update
    apt-get install build-essential
    apt-get install libssl-dev libpcsclite-dev
    apt-get install mercurial cvs subversion libncurses-dev
    apt-get install cmake

    2) Oscam compile:
    cd /usr/src
    svn co oscam - Revision 5692: /trunk oscam
    cd oscam
    cmake -DWEBIF=1 -DPCSC=1
    make

    3) Oscam rename (you can skip rename if u don´t want add .x86 to the end) and copy (if you use /var/bin as your default cam path). If you use another path add yours.
    mv oscam oscam.x86
    cp oscam.x86 /var/bin (I had no var/bin folder so mkdir bin whilst in var)

    4) Unused oscam compile directory delete:
    cd ..
    rm -rf oscam

    5) Setting oscam to correct attribute:
    cd /var/bin
    chmod 755 oscam.x86

    6) Oscam automatic startup with debian bootup:
    nano /etc/rc.local add next line before the "exit0" line, like so:
    Code:
    /var/bin/oscam.x86 &
    exit0

    7) Downloading 4 oscam config files:
    cd /usr/local/etc/

    wget http://web.zone.ee/kapzas/oscam.conf
    wget http://web.zone.ee/kapzas/oscam.server
    wget http://web.zone.ee/kapzas/oscam.user
    wget http://web.zone.ee/kapzas/oscam.services

    chmod 755 oscam.conf
    chmod 755 oscam.server
    chmod 755 oscam.user
    chmod 755 oscam.services

    At last edit oscam config files for your needs. If u want update your oscam for latest svn just run setp 2), 3) and 4) over again.

    Go here for the OScam config files Forum Gateway - Powered by DnP Firewall I used this config… Oscam Sly UK Configs For Updating Entitlements (Thanks to Ten Below) overwrite the ones you downloaded with these then edit the personal stuff.

    These are my config files with relevant stuff edited out.

    OSCAM USER
    [account]
    user = xxxxx
    #description = for local mgcamd or DVBAPI
    pwd = xxxxx
    disabled = 0

    port = 15366@0963:000000;10001@0963:000000

    OSCAM SERVER
    [reader]
    label = *** UK
    enable = 1
    protocol = mouse
    device = /dev/ttyUSB0
    caid = 0963:000000
    # 0963 is *** UK.
    boxid = xxxxxxxx Boxkey here no spaces
    # Oscam can read a *** card i.d, but you can also put this
    # in manually (Mine didn’t work until I put in key)
    detect = cd
    cardmhz = 357
    # this helps the card run more smootly
    group = 1
    # Oscam has the concept of groups. Only users in group 1 can
    # use this reader. I'm only using one group.
    emmcache = 1,3,2
    ecmcache = 1
    blockemm-unknown = 1
    blockemm-g = 1
    # these ensure smooth decrypting
    lb_weight = 101
    # for load balancing - can be commented out.

    Smargo Reader
    Configure smargo reader as I did in oscam server use LSUSB to find out what port it’s on and edit accordingly

    DM800HD PVR
    If you were running Cccam before for card sharing then you already have the cccam config file on your dreambox. If not then you need to download CCCam 2.2.1 and install it. You need to configure an N: Line in CCCam.cfg on your dreambox to reflect the Debian Servers IP address, the Port Address (bottom of oscam config. This can be what you want) and user name and password from Oscam user info. It should look something like this…
    N: 192.168.0.xx 15366 xxxxx xxxxx 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256

    For each dreambox you need to add another account in OScam User (just copy/paste first and alter user etc. And you will also need to add another N: line in CCCam.cfg

    Now restart your cccam and oscam You can access the OScam webIF by using the servers IP plus port number (See webif in OScam Config) then fill in user and password. Put your *** card in the smargo reader chip facing the lights

    Job Done!!
    Steve.

    hi guys,
    can get to my web if for oscam on my server by using its ip addy plus port number on the server. How can I get to it via another computer? I am sure I need the user id and password for the server in there somewhere. eg 192.168.0.20. port number user password or summat like that . Anyone got the format pls. cheers

    PS missed another quickie where can I see my ecm timings in oscam web i/f cheers

    Whooopeee! this forum is the dogs!! I have sly movies on one dm800. Ok just need to setup the accounts for the others so each user account needs a separate N line in cccam I assume. I then need to read up on card updating as it just happened on cccam not sure on this so need to get mind around that.
    Again thanks to all that helped on my server setup and oscam setup. It pays to poke around as I have a much better understanding of oscam now

    ok New,
    Sorry about delay vermin media woz on phone for my "not so super hub" kicking them into touch next week and going bt infinity. Never has worked properly since april. Anyway the bracket woz a cut and paste error on my part but I updated the other entry to show the same as server as suggested. stopped and restarted oscam dreambox still offline

    PS oh and added # to the line u suggested

    Thanks for looking New

    Hi guys have spent the last few days wrestling with OScam on a debian server with smargo and am nearly there. I have it up and running and the web i/f working it sees my card and entitlements. I used the oscam configs for all packages section and used the oscam sly uk configs updating entitlements config. I have added the N: line in the CCcam config on my dreambox but am getting errors in the web i/f This is what I get....

    Can anybody give me some pointers please. I can post config files if needed. One other question I have come across a OScam services file is this needed as I never see it in any of the configs If it is are there any examples to use.I have it sitting in my usr/local/etc along with my other three config files. Again cheers guys. Hope I can crack it today

    do I need to uninstall cccam off the debian server or can they both be on there?

    Thats where I got the configs I posted earlier with a few questions on I think ten below posted it for Sly UK

    OK new thanks, but I thought I have already setup my server using the idiots giuide. I then created the three oscam files I put in usr/local/etc and posted the contents a few posts up asking if these were correct. You said they weren't so am a bit stuck now on how to proceed?? I cut and pasted those from another post that was the setup for a sly card
