masterg - there is already a password on the receiver which is used by VCC for access. So surely passwd will only change it? More curious, when I type passwd in telnet it asks me to enter new password, but does not accept any key strokes at all!! The dialogue is:

    Blackhole 2.1.0 vusolo2

    vusolo2 login: root
    root@vusolo2:~# xxxxxxxx
    -sh: xxxxxxxx: not found
    root@vusolo2:~# cd /
    root@vusolo2:~# passwd
    Changing password for root
    New password:

where xxxxxxxx is the password used by VCC

I am running BH on my Solo2 and some time ago downloaded and set up the android app for remote access. If I remember correctly, I set up login and password details which were stored in the app. However, for some time I have been using webif from rooms around the house. To my horror I tried to use webif remotely via the ddns link I had set up for the android app and found that the link took me straight into my Solo2! How can I set security on the webif?

    HELP!!!

Yes I had an October 2013 version installed, for some reason updating is not automatic when doing a software update. I deleted the folder usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions/autobouquet rebooted then installed your latest ipk. Installation seemed ok but last line was something like autobouquet not downgraded . . . end result Autobouquet is not installed. What extra need I do to clean any traces of autobouquet so that a fresh install is possible?

    SORTED!!

Panic over - TSPanel cleaned it up, have installed latest and will check on next release of catseyes.

My Vu+Solo2 works fine - tuner A on motorised dish (using USALS) and gets the usual satellites no problem, and tuner B fixed. I am trying to get to 31.5E but selecting a channel (from Catseyes list) I just get an endless flashing of the "dish moving" symbol with no end result. How do I fix this? I assume there is some list that USALS needs that maybe hasn't got 31.5E on it - but I don't really know.

I am using AutoBouquets E2 on latest Black Hole and Catseyes channel list. For the past number of months each update of Catseyes followed by a run of AutoBouquets E2 results in the ***UK numbering getting lost after 401 - usually by skipping channels so the channel number (selected via remote) is different to that which gets selected. The only way I can get around this is via doing a NIT scan in AutoBouquets (approx 20-25 mins) - then everything is correct. I suspected that satellites.xml could be the problem, but by the files dates (both in etc/enigma2 and etc/tuxbox) they seemsto come with catseyes each time. Am I alone in this problem? and does anyone have a solution?

My system was on TSMedia 7.91-full, but my son by mistake reloaded an old backup which had TSMedia at 6.2. Using online update I get to 7.91-basic. The General Settings no longer have the option of basic or full, looking in the files library it shows 7.91-full with a green dot (presumably installed) so will not install it. How do I get back to the full version?

I have installed VLC, but clicking on a stream in Open Webif still opens WMP. I cannot find how to link the stream to VLC. I guess this must be doable - but how?

EDIT! Sorted that - Association Manager to the rescue. Still trying to find a "Record" button or setup.

Occasionally I use the webif to watch satellite on my PC upstairs. I click on the channel I want, the PC (Windows 7) kicks off Windows Media Player and displays fine. My question is whether there is any extension (or free alternative) to WMP that would allow recording to HDD on the PC to support live pause, rewind, future replay, etc?

Worth checking . . . I use Win7 on my PC and in Windows Explorer I can see VUSOLO2 under Networks. I always used to use FTP to transfer files, but found that I could use Windows to drag and drop movies onto VUSOLO2/HDD/Movie - the play them on the Solo2 with no problem.

Using Catseye's E2 channel list with autobouquet now seems to have a problem every time. Autobouquet sorts channels fine up to the sports section then starts to miss the odd channel, so ends up with channels on the wrong program number. If I use autobouquet and let it do a service scan everything works fine (just takes about 20 mins). Not sure whether this is a channel list or autobouquet problem? Any ideas?

I hope I didn't sound ungrateful for the effort of those who provide plugins, and the problems may well be a growing incompatibility with either my image (BH) or box (Vu+ Solo2). It's just that earlier CoolTV Guides were superb, but more recent ones have introduced changes in my setup which don't work well for me. The current issue (as in the original post) is that keeping on a previous version which does work for me now brings a nag screen.

The insurmountable problem I have with 7 is trying to move forward on the timeline. If I use the right direction arrow key it moves one time slot at a time, however to move forward much more (eg to the next day) this takes ages. If I hold down the right direction arrow key (as I did with all previous versions) instead of advancing the timeline it skips down whole pages of channel - but keeps the time constant. Absolutely useless!

Unfortunately there is no such option (that I can find) in the CoolTV Guide setup pages. I went back from 7 to 6.4, maybe I should go back further - I have 6.3 but nothing earlier. However, I do believe the nag message only started in the last couple of days - Very Strange. Would be interested if anyone else on 6.4 is getting it.

Quick edit: A few days ago I undated the firmware to BH 2.1.0.1 using the BH facility. It seemed to update more than just the firmware (a number of packages). I am just wondering whether this has been tagged on from then, since (maybe) the upgrade noticed the newer version, but it (maybe) cannot be upgraded automatically??
