Because of issues I had had with CoolTV 7, I have reverted to 6.4 - issues resolved. However, now I get a nag screen every time I exit CollTV Guide saying a later version is available - how do I stop this?

If you use DHCP than the router will assign the address dynamically, and this will change - as you have found out. To fix this either use a static address in the adapter settings, or still use DHCP (automatic on the VU+) but use "reserve address" feature on the router so that the Vu+ will always be allocated the same ip address.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I have been struggling with this using BH 2.0.8.1. I have mounted my router HDD (which calls itself volume(sda1)) and named it "Router" locally - defined as CIFS (also tried NFS) with no user name or password (the router is not password protected). MountManager gives me a big green tick to say it is mounted but I fail to find it with any tool to play the media on it, or to copy files between it and my HDD. What am I missing?

ian, I very much appreciated your plugin - until it was ruined, and would like to go about setting up my own proxy. I understand the editing of the py file, but the rest is uncharted territory. I would be hugely grateful if you could spend ten minutes and produce a simple step by step guide that covers the php file, the .htaccess file etc (where these go and their format etc.). I know this is a big ask - but I know many will be very grateful, and might reduce the ongoing questions in this thread.

I'm on BH here in the UK, have upgraded to 4.9 and installed the fix. Everything works except 1channel, which I assumed was ISP blocking. Those that say it still works - are you in the UK?

I have never had a problem with Ten Below's BH backups - until now. It's clearly not this backup since no other backup will load either - and all have loaded previously. Using the same USB sticks the box goes through all the correct stages when flashing, but ends up still on BH2.0.7.3 no matter what BH backup image I am trying to load. It looks like either something set in the box (which rejects the flash) or the box is having difficulty with USB sticks it previously was very happy with. Not sure whether a "Factory Reset" is available and whether that would help? Anyone else in the same boat?

I'm having the same problem with this particular backup. I have installed most (if not all) of Ten Below's previous BH backups with no problem. Using the same USB stick I have the appearance of loading, but still on 2.0.7.3. Done it a number of times, used two different USB sticks - one formatted with the HP utility. Still the same outcome!!!

I don't know why - but you are not alone. I had the same problem, but after much tinkering and many re-running of autobouquets with different settings it eventually came back. Cannot say what caused the problem or what solved it - sorry, but as I said you are not alone.

Not being a Linux boff this question may be stupid - but here goes!

Is there any way of "sharing" the internal HDD in a way that Windows can see it on the network? My aim is to rip a number of DVDs and write them to the Solo2's HDD in one step as I am stripping them (I know I can strip them then FTP them).
