Just installed BH2.0.7 and during the setup I am trying to configure CrossEPG. Problem is that it will not show me (rear) USB for storing the epg. I have used that in all other versions of BH, so don't know what problem could be. I guess it is a "mount" or "RW" issue, but not done that before. TSPanel's device manager sees it fine, and its file manager sees the contents fine. What am I missing?

cazuela seems to have the solution/explanation - my recordings are from european stations, so the file time-stamps must come from the originating platform rather than the local system! I find this very strange (since the local system is what did the file writing) however mystery solved! Thanks guys.

Thanks for trying - but that is my problem. I am in the UK and using BH image. Using the image settings for time I set it to GMT - even though we are currently on BST. There is no setting for "summer time", but the image seems to understand that we are actually in summer time, and the clocks on display are all correct (ie BST). My issue is that when I record, the time stamp on the files is not what I see on the clocks but one hour later. So I record a program between 2000 and 2100 and the time stamp on the file is 2200. This to me indicates that the "system" has a clock which has a different offset to the "image" clock - which you correctly instructed how to set. My question is: how do I set the "system" clock/offset so that file time-stamps are correct?

I note that when I set the time (BH image) correctly then everything to do with the image (satellite time display, timers, etc.) work fine. However this setting does not change the "system" clock - which currently is still recording files date/time etc. as though it was on GMT not BST. Obviously the "system" maintains a clock independently of the "image". If I wanted to change the "system" clock - how do I do it?

Thanks for the response - however, my problem seems to have been caused by TWO copies of PTS somehow being installed! I deleted it and found that it was still there, but now worked. SORTED!

Is there a combination of settings that makes this operate anything like ***+? ie
    1. always on
    2. resets on channel change
    3. has a maximum record time before losing off the end

I have tried a number of settings, but permanenttimeshift stops working either after a period of time or on changing channel.

Many/most of the IPTV channels (TSMedia) don't work due to various GStreamer plugins missing. Is there a plugin pack available that will decode these streams? Thanks.

Have you checked what language is selected in "Audio" - if any of them work then there's nothing wrong with your box - probably just that the default language you have set is not transmitting. Just my guess.

Both lines need to go in the same CCcam.cfg file. It sounds from what you are describing that you may be sending two files across in which case one will overwrite the other.

I'm new to Enigma and Linux, and am struggling to change my bootlogo screen. I am using BH 2.0.5 configured up from Ten Belows backup. The instructions appear simple enough:- back up to PC the .mvi files in /usr/share and replace with provided .mvi file. In said folder I have five .mvi files, backing them to the PC then deleting and replacing with new .mvi file then restarting . . . I still have original boot screen. Clearly I am doing something wrong - but what? I note that I also have three folders (bootlogo.mvi, bootlogo_wait.mvi and backdrop.mvi) which telnet fails to open but may be a linux convolution of which I am ignorant. Also there is a folder vuplus-bootlogo containing three files (backdrop.mvi, bootlogo.mvi, and bootlogo_wait.mvi) whiuch again may just be a convolution. Please help.

I currently use no-ip for their dyndns - and using the "experimental" noipdyndns extension I can work fine. However, I want to start using INADYN (since it is bundled in BH). I can set all of the lines correctly except the system line at the bottom. Anyone know what this should contain when using no-ip?

    Thanks for helping on this.

The response to "top" maybe suggests that memory maxing is not the problem. It keeps changing, but the most common response seems to be:
tasks: 95 total, 1/2 running, remainder sleeping
    cpu(s): 0.3%us, 0.5%sy, 0.0%ni, 97.4%id etc.
    Mem: 571980k total, 201864k used, 370116k free, 204k buffers

I can't pretend to understand it all, but it looks like cpu is largely idle and memory is less that 40% utilised?

Maybe you can make more sense of it, or suggest something else to look at. The annoying thing is while the "busy" symbol (not sure exactly what its correct name is) is active, the picture never misses a beat, but I cannot initiate any action from the remote.

I am using BH 2.0.4 - largely Ten Below's backup with a few additions. Recently the twirling symbol in the upper left hand corner (which in my mind equates to the busy symbol in Windows) has been coming on pretty frequently (sometimes every 5-10 mins) and staying on for up to 30-60 secs. Whilst the viewing never misses a beat - either watching TV or a recording - it's beginning to annoy me. Any ideas what it might be, and is there a way of finding out / stopping it?

    Thanks.

Sounds like a FAT32 problem. If the stick is formatted FAT32 then the maximum file size is 4GB. My Solo2 will read an NTFS formatted stick - not tried writing to one, but NTFS has no file size limitation.
