the solo2 is a twin tuner model and it has
the 1300 MHz MIPS processor and a front display
that on standby gives date and time when in use
it shows channel name, but as you say the duo2
has some extra features, but i'm sure they are
on a par for video and audio, i must also say i only
use any sat box to view sat tv iv'e never tried or tested
everything the linux boxes can do.

    i have the solo2 and it's a great box
i got this over the duo2 for one reason
it was over a £100 cheaper than the duo2
and i have no regrets it's first class and i
have had a duo a unu and to be honest i
cant fault any vu model, but most hd boxes
non linux and linux models give good quality
picture and audio it's just which box/model you prefer

the only thing i see is a parental control in the menu
if that what your looking for where you can enable
and protect setup and protect services
    menu>setup>ok>then scroll to parental control>ok
    and you set this feature

it is online update..if you have already 2.0.9

it says this on the vu community about the bh2.0.9.1 image update

WARNING: This Image has the latest drivers and CAN NOT be installed in multiboot. The image MUST be installed in flash.

the solo2 is first class in every way, iv'e had
a duo and i still have a twin tuner unu and these
are great boxes with lots of support, but for me
the solo2 has the edge on both of them for quality
and when i got mine it's was £299 i have since seen then
at lower prices, and would recommend the solo2 to everyone
and just to add the vix zeus image is running first class on it

can i ask why the HDMU images have two listings
and what is md5 in the file discription ?
i always use the flash.zip image,
    or am i missing something,lol
let me say these are good images.

try this way, i use the E2 v1.50 dcc panel and load the tspanel this way

you load the tspanel after the image of your choice is flashed
open the dcc and click [TOOLS] then [packages]
in the green section on the left of the panel
a list of the packages on your box will upload
under the list are two bar strips [update package list]
and [upload package] click upload package bar a window will
open find and click on th tspanel file then click open on the
window the file will now load on your package list and will give
the loading info in the protocol pane under the package list.
once loaded, close the dcc and re start your box when it
re boots you will find the tspanel in your menu list ready to use
just remember to use the vu section and the items for the image
you have on the box this method also works with dreambox models
and as above only use the the dreambox section and the cams for
    your image

i have just tried to flash this image from the vu section

the image flashed first class, the problems start
when i try to connect the box to the computer
i always use the dcc for the solo2 ,with this image
it fails and would like to ask has name and password
been change on this image, the root and dreambox that
normally work with all other images wont allow a connection
to load the chn list and sat xml etc: if there has not been a change,
apart from a image problem does anyone have idea's what the problem is,

Hello, I know that you can change your Lat and Long settings when you do a factory reset but when you go to menu and tuner config you see your settings, but I cannot change them there?

    ********************************************
    menu>set up>ok>service searching>ok>tuner configuration>
on tuner A >ok>set tuner to simple> mode to postioner then you scroll
down to the long and lat settings and enter or change the setting
with numbered keys on the remote

i have just got a tm twin oe and the box
is real good value and quality a superb picture
i also have the vu solo2 and vu twin uno and
they are also great boxes. just to add the best
receiver will always get different answers as we
    all have our own favorite

i'm just about to get the prism cube
and before getting one can anyone offer
advise on them, i have a vu uno at the
moment, and the questions are these
will the cube hold unlimited channels like the vu?
and from the reading iv'e done so far it looks like
the box has to be flashed with a emergency image first
before the BH image is flashed,is this correct ?
and from what iv'e read there is talk of using a cable
is it a serial or null modem cable? also some have said they
cant get the loader to extract from the uploader folder and i wondered does it need connecting to the box etc: before opening the loader? also i rea d you need to activate two pins on the rear panel of the box to do this flash, is it a connector with a plug or something you get with the box, or do you just connect the pins together? lots of questions but i think it's better to ask first and
get things right, then i dont cause problems and after ask for help fixing my mistakes, thanks in advance for any help you can offer me.

can anyone help on the following points
i'm a new dr hd d15 user and was told i can load the
tm softcam on this box, is this correct?
also where do i find the cas key menu panel, i can see
    the biss key panel

i find the dr hd d15 a great box and it has no problem on my v-box
it hits the target everytime and at the price it has to be my best buy ever
also for anyone who needs it there is a new patch 113p but iv'e no info
about what the patch fixes etc
