if it's to use one box at a time on the set up, and as the op has
a duo2 that dos'nt have a loop out i would have thought a twin lnb
fitted on a motorised dish. then send the second cable to the other room
and as long as box a was on standby then box b would move the dish and visa versa for box a
this could be the easiest and simplest way to set up the two boxes.

Will Sly HD ever come back or is the encryption too hard to crack?

has the other poster says who knows what the future will turn up
my thought is if this were easy to get back then i would have thought
sly Italian hd channels would by now have been opened again, they
were blocked in November 2013. i also think that all but the fta channels
from the provider on 28e will eventually be blocked to all without a official
    subscription for there service

any plans for backup of this image

    --------------------------------------------------
give it a try yourself mate as recommended by pheonix.
it's very easy with the blackhole images first use stick you know the box recognises
then follow this info just be aware this is for blackhole images only.
put the stick in the front port under the cam/card reader cover, a small panel opens saying no displayable files on this medium found. that just meens the stick needs mapping, you do this in the following menu's first press exit to remove the small info panel next press blue button twice and on the BH extra settings panel scroll down to device manager>ok now you will see usb flash memory stating not mapped. next press the red button and then clicking right with the ring around the ok button until you see /media/usb then you click the red button to save this setting. a small panel will open stating you need to restart your box to save the device change, click>yes. when the box reboots, click>menu>scroll to>backup menu>ok> now you have three choices>click>ok on blackhole full backup, now you return to the set up panel where you press the red button> backup now just wait until it does the full back up and says finished before you exit and remove your usb stick. just remember if your ever going to share on a forum or with friends your backup images to remove any lines you have in the cccam con fig file before you make a backup for general use

    *******************************************************
it never fails this way for me on any vu model with a blackhole image

how to manually install BH cams
    ******************************
you just transfer the cccam or ccams that you want to the tmp folder with your
DCC panel,:-- open the dcc and click ftp then in the left hand window find and
double left clicking the tmp folder to open it, then using the arrows between
the windows sent the cam packs to the tmp folder, then close the dcc next go to
the VU and with the remote press green then yellow then on the second line down
manual install bh packages>ok now you can see all the cams you sent to the box
with the dcc now just click>ok on each of them in turn and follow the on screen info
until you have installed all of them, and the manual install panel is empty.
exit the menu and re boot the box and then when it re boots, press blue you
can select and change to which cam you want to use

i read more or less the type of posts on most of the places i'm a member,
and i still cant understand why the loss of HD channels from this satellite
has everyone up in arms and in some cases getting upset that everything
has ended, what about all the other satellites? there is lots of good viewing
out there. and not as many repeated programs, how many times does anyone
need to see wheeler dealers buy and sell the same car or nick Knowles in sos
come on there's far more to this hobby than one provider.

before i believe someone has these blocked hd channels open again
i will need to see it, if it had been that easy why has the blocked hd channels
on 13e been down since last November, and if any payserver tossers had got
these channels back they would just cash in while they could,

i dont know if anyone has seen the new sports5 HD and SD chns

sly sports 5 HD and SD channels are on the epg
now testing and it launches august the 12th:
and both channels can be found with a scan

    sports HD 12460-h-29500-3/4

    sports SD 11.914-h-27500-2/3

and guess what the hd channel is blocked even
on the preview, i did'nt see this chn added to the blocked list.

many many thanks.. up and running now. great tutorial. as a newbie to dr.hd have two other slight issues but not sure which forum to post in etc.. 1. vk login /password etc.. never heard of vk before. 2. picasa ? ty

i cant help with those addons iv'e never even tried them
but i'm sure other will give you info on them

how to add c-lines with a usb stick on a DR HD
    -----------------------------------
first from the receiver you need to upload the CSinfo file
on to a usb stick.first put the stick in the usb port on the
rear panel of the receiver next on the remote press the menu button,
and from the line set up icons scroll right to the usb icon and it
will change colour from blue to yellow, then you can click down to
the file list under the icon's and click>ok on the file manager bar
and a file manager panel opens on it you will see along the bottom
a button menu to upload a file you press the info button on the remote,
then a small file upload panel opens with a list of the uploads you go to
CSinfo and click>ok when the uploads compleate exit the menu's and remove
the usb stick.next you put the stick in the usb on a computer and download
the file where you can add your line or lines to the file and once everything
has been added you close the document and save it,it's now ready to go back
on the usb stick and load on the receiver the same way the patch and chn lists
    are loaded.
    ************************************************

the line must be broken down into four sections to type on to the CSinfo document
and each sealine has to be added in it's own section.you leave the c: out when you
break the line in to four sections as in this example on how to split the line
    and add to the file [[[ c:rodgerrabbit.no-ip.org *** 56000***** henry **** ad22usiv ]]]
the user can be a name or letters and numbers and the user is always after the port
with this method you must make sure the protocol is set for CCCAM or NEWCAMD if your
using a N:line.do not change any other setting and make sure you type it correct as you
got it from the server and take care over higher orlower case or both if needed the line
or lines are case sensitive finaly if you have more than one line you load them as they
were sent to you starting with the top line in top section 0
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
this is a example how to split and load the line or line in the CSinfo doc that you send
to the receiver same way as the patch
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    slot0 =
    {
    name: connection_0
    ip:rodgerrabbit.no-ip.org
    user:henry
    password:ad22usiv
    protocol: cccam
    deskey: 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
    filtermode: auto
    filterindex: 0
    port:56000
    timeout: 3
    }

i bet if anyone is daft enough to part with there
cash to these robbers. they wont be offering a one
off lifetime payment for the service, and you could and
probably will loose your money,so before going down
this route just remember there are only one certainty
    in life and that's death

it amazes me why the lost of this satellite's hd channels seems to give many people the impression that this hobby is finished, i couldn't give a hoot if they block all there channels there programs have more repeats than a machine gun. and lets be serious there are lots of other satellites and lots of the same channels
that the audio can be changed plus if it takes the same time frame as on 13e and they still have all the sd channels open, there will plenty to view from 28e for a long time yet, and i say lets enjoy what we have and worry when the lot goes down.

I bought from world-of-satellite. I bought it when it's came. It happen before then I send the box to them they says box flash fine with their pen drive and they said they will charge me if I send the box to they anymore and then I tried to update different plugin but it's didn't let me. So I tried to flash it and having problem.

    ****************************************
i have never had problems with my solo2, vu boxes are a bit tetchy and refuse to work with some usb sticks that work ok on other linux box makes. i take it if it flashed with there usb stick the box is or was ok next what pluggin did you load on the box?
and was it for the image on the box. and last have you tried other usb sticks, lots have had problems that were solved when using anouther usb stick

i have heard some have flash the official image in nfi format using a null modem cable and the vucc panel
to clear the problem first. then the box worked first class and after this it worked with a usb stick again

there must be a lot having the same problem
there are posts elsewhere saying they only have
four of the SD channels that are now opening the
    rest are down

I have just lost 5 channels Sly arts 1,2 HD, Nat geo HD, History Hd, Crime HD is there anyway of getting them back.

    My setup is

a laptop running debian 6 with smargo reader and oscam r9681

    *************************************
to honest after reading this thread i'm
amazed we have had these chns open for so long
i just wonder why they started on 13e could it be after the new sat at 28e cut most of europe off from
getting signal from 28e, i think we cant be surprised this is happening i just hope it takes a long time to
compleate i can view sd channels quite happily all
day, after all in hard times a channel open is a good result

first will need a DCC and a dreambox edit panels on your computer these are what i use others use other panels, so you you can control your vu box, next i take it from you post you have a c-line you want to add to get the channels open, if you have this is how to do it
    ******************************
HOW TO ADD C-LINES ON A VU OR DREAMBOX
    ---------------------------
first you need to load a DCC panel on your computer and open and run the application, when open the DCC panel it must be set to show a connection on the panel between the computer- sat receiver-router to get this your put a dot
in the router in the connection box at the top left of the dcc loader panel, when you have this connection you will see on the panel all the equipment joined by a green line to all three items. the panel will now work with your vu sat box,
after you send the shortcut icon to the desktop to open this panel, you can now close it down, until it's needed
    -------------------------------------------------------
next you need the notepad that has you c-line or line on your desktop.where you open the notepad and highlight the c-line or lines by scrolling the mouse pointer over the line/lines

c-lines look like this made up example---------------

    [c:nutter.no-ip.com 57000 rupert ax1256gh]

then when highlighted you right click the mouse and from the small panel that opens left click copy, now you can close the note pad and open the DCC again, when it all connects again you left click FTP from the list on the left then the panel changes then in the left panel scroll down until you find a folder named ETC you then double left click this folder to open it,once open
you scroll down the files until you find a file named CCcam cfg on this file you right click the mouse and from the panel choose EDIT this will open this file next you scroll down to the bottom of the file and leave a couple of lines blank under the script on this file now you left click the mouse on the chosen line where you will see a vertical line appear.then if you look at the top of this cfg file you will see on the left hand side a row of 6 small boxes one with scissors
counting from the left hand box on this row you left click on the fourth box a long [paste] now you will see the c-line or lines you have added appear in the CCcam cnf file, next you must left click the left hand box on this row this is the SAVE and exit button, once this has been done a small panel opens asking are you sure as a change has been made click [YES] and then close the DCC panel down now the channels will open. JOB DONE

    *********************************************************

this is a warning please be very carefull

NEVER CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE ON THE VU FILES SYSTEM UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING OR THE BOX WILL GREEN SCREEN AND CRASH, IN CERTAIN CASES THIS CAN DAMAGE THE BOX, AND IN MOST CASES IT WILL MEAN THE RECEIVER NEEDS TO BE RE-IMAGED AND THIS CAN BE A VERY LONG PROCESS IF YOU DONT HAVE ALL YOUR FILES LIKE/ CHN LIST/CAM PACKS/ CFG FILES/SKINS/LIB FILES ETC:
stored on your computer to make re imaging etc: a quicker and easier process
