Build 166 is dated 8th april this year.
New build is "Openvix 3 2 007 (you can get it from the "nightly builds" tab at the top of the page).
Remember to do an image backup before you flash and maybe do a settings backup also as it will make life easier in setting up your new image (if you choose to flash a new one)
I don't have a duo but imagine timeshift is incorporated into the vix duo images
Timeshift settings are normally located here:
Menu-setup-system-timeshift settings - (scroll down to see this) timeshift save action on zap : ask user

If i installed the latest version, could i do that without re-installing cccam..autobouquets ..etc

A settings backup (backup manager) should take of this but i'd also recommend a full image backup (image manager) just for fear all goes wrong.

You could enable permanent timeshift and set options to save it as a recording upon exiting timeshift, so you won't miss anything.
Configure timeshift to enable after "x" amount of seconds so when you switch channels, timeshift will begin after the "x" allotted time.

Its 21.99 euro per month for non HD or 24.99 per month for HD.

I've non hd (sd receiver) but hd clears in linux receiver, so try that first, may save you a couple of bob.
Need an irish card though as mckee / anniman has pointed out.

I don't have any experience with your receiver but it looks like the setup that the ferguson ariva uses.
First, extract out the firmware (it will end in ".abs" file) and put it on a usb stick.
Plug it into your receiver and scroll through the menus to see if there is an option to upgrade it via usb and it should install the firmware (on ferguson, you have to select "allcode and bootloader" option but this may vary for your receiver).
The erom upgrade tool is used if you cannot upgrade via usb (no options in the menu) or if the receiver is dead.
Extract out the attached erom upgrade tool.
Open the extracted folder and you will see user manual and erom-upgrade.rar.
This file needs to be extracted out again (extract it out to the folder your in otherwise it will fill your desktop with its constituents).
Click on "EromUpgrade.exe" and the program will launch.
Use the "browse" button to find the .abs firmware on your pc.
    Tick the "include bootloader" option
Connect your pc to your receiver (normally rs232 for ariva but no idea what type of lead is used for startrack) and hit next.
When it pops up "synchronizing stb, please reset target" , just power down and up your receiver.
If com port and leads are right, it should start flashing the receiver.

Have a read here, it will explain the basics.

Also have a read of the rules here (if you haven't done so already)

It will give you a clear understanding on exactly what this site is about.
Anymore questions, try the custom search bar (top right of every page) as most questions have been asked and answered before.

If you want to limit to a specific number of hops then change/add this to the peers reader

This will give your his local and anything he has in hop 1 and 2
Increase or decrease it to vary the amount of hops you'd like from him

Yes you can, but you may have to change a few little things (in your router) if your using your receiver as a server (ip address/forwarded ports etc) and sharing externally.
If it is only a client box, all should be ok.
Remember to delete your configs from your old receiver if you plan on selling it/giving it away (or just flash an image onto it)
If you plan on using both boxes with the same share (no server of your own), best contact your peer to ask their permission.
I presume your using the same image on both as some images have different config locations.
