Will need to set up pc again, operating system etc.
I think there is software out there that will clone a hdd.
It will be quicker to try and clone your 1tb drive onto your 500gb (if that can be done) so as to avoid setting your pc all over again, before you wipe it in your duo2.

Flashing a new image has wiped all your cccam configs
You'll just have to ftp them back to your receiver into /etc folder.
There was channel changes recently and some lists may not be up to date yet. (28.2, don't know about any other sats to be honest)
I ran autobouquets (bh 2.1.4) and it brought them all back.

You need to extract out the file.
I normally use winrar to extract it.
It will then create a folder and inside it is the firmware file.
It will be a ".abs" file.
Eg:

If its not working properly, I'd get it repaired/replaced.
Try using autobouquets and rescanning.
There has been channel changes recently and the lists you are using may not be up to date.
I had similar problems with identical receivers and autobouquets (bh 2.1.4) brought them back.

What router have you?
Maybe someone with the same router might have also encountered this problem.
Can you try with a different router/ different location? (just to make 100 % sure its the receiver)
Strange one alright.
Try installing a clean image and go through the network wizard while the receiver is hard wired (just to rule out the receiver)
Maybe trying another lan cable might be worth a go also.
You may need to install drivers /firmware for that to work on your new receiver.

From the sound of it, you have the firmware/drivers installed on your backup or the image already had the firmware/drivers installed.
Have you tried connecting the receiver directly to your router or via homeplugs ? (to rule out the receiver or router) and see if the drivers are available on the image feeds or our addons panel?
Try rebooting your router while receiver is connected.
Then restart your network on your receiver (make sure dchp is on)
I'd look into setting up a static ip on the router for the receiver then.
