Is your erom tool the right version for that model? (they differ from model to model)
Are you using the correct firmware for that model? (afaik erom will only work with original firmware, not patched one. You'll have load patched firmware after getting original one on ariva)
Are you using a "null modem" rs232 cable. (they're a couple different rs232 cables but they all look the same)
Have you a pc with native rs232 port? (some usb to rs232 adaptors don't work, pcmcia to serial rs232 cards work) -
Please have another read of the rules:

can i ask what is the best version of oscam to get my cccamconfig line working
Have you converted your line to oscam reader?
This tool will do it for you:
http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=2569
Paste in your line details into the top window, make sure oscam.server is selected and hit "convert to oscam".
Copy the results from the bottom window and paste it into your oscam.server config.
Restart oscam or receiver. -
They may be ok but best to have them backed up, it's easy to then ftp them across if needs be.

Why CCcam 2.3.0 ?
what does it do that version 2.1.3 can't do?
Especially with the rumors about 2.3.0
Cccam 2.3.0 will allow you to watch one and record another encrypted channel simultaneously on the newer kernel image releases.
Cccam 2.1.3 will only decrypt one channel at a time with these images.
The rumors are unfounded.
If your unsure / have doubts weather you should use 2.3.0, oscam would be an good alternative. -
Cccam 2.3.0 ipk can be found here:

All other cccam versions can be found here:

Alternatively you could install our addons panel which has cams and channel lists , plugins etc.

Did you try the other cams?
Has your receiver obtained an ip from your router? -

You may have a com issue with your i/o card on pc.
I had a similar problem when installing car software on my laptop using a pcmcia rs232 card.
I uninstalled com1 in device manager and went into my serial adaptor/port settings/advanced and changed com port from what it was to com port 1
The did a hardware scan and what was originally on com 1 went automatically to the next available com port.
The hardware then started communicating with my car and pc.
It just changes your serial card to com 1
It may help you and then again it may not.
Also, have you the right upgrade tool for that model? (ariva upgrade tool differs from model to model) -
Have no idea about skybox f3 but from the sound of it, the ariva erom upgrade tool is similar.
Quotesynchronizing STBs, Please Reset Target
That usually means to turn off the receiver with the rocker switch at the rear (if you have one) and turn it back on again, then the flash will proceed. -

It looks like a closed source receiver, (may be wrong) Unless somebody has uploaded a channel list for it, you might be constructing your own. -
Loads of excuses to choose from, especially if kids are involved:69:
-
Dreamset is an editor for channel lists/bouquets.
You need to enable/configure crossepg to populate your epg for the lists you have transferred to your receiver.
Crossepg should be in the menu of your receivers image - menu / setup/ crossepg (on blackhole image)
Configure it to store on hdd/usb etc, schedule it to download.
Then down to "OpenTv providers" and select "sly uk opentv (astra2 on 28.2)" if thats the satellite your on.
If not, and your satellite isn't in the opentv providers, have a look in the other sections for your satellites.
Save, and download now. -
It may be paired to the HD receiver now.
If it is, the only way to get all channels working again is to get your card paired to a sd receiver. (web chat or phonecall to sly) -
This should do it for you.
