Kari did you / Or any one else manage to successfully jtag your uno?
My brother seems to have the same problem, red light but no life at all.
Cannot connect via rs232 or telenet / ftp over lan.
Power supply looks good with no obvious signs of damage/blown capacitors.
Went dead after a thunder storm (along with tv and router which all were on a surge protector)
It seems to have came down the phone line as phones were out for a few days after.
It looks like the boot-loader is corrupted/deleted.
All advice welcomed.

Speeds are more than ample.
Must have high line contention to say it drops off that much in the evenings.
You could try complaining to your isp or even change them if you get no satisfaction. -
I'd doubt it with that ping time.
Satellite has ping times up past the 700-800 ms.
They call mine "fixed wireless broadband"
Small antenna on roof linking to transmitter. -
Its there in the description.
QuoteFTP User: root, pass: blank (to set a pass telnet in and run "passwd root" and it will ask for a pass)
Oscam port: 8888 user: root, pass: oscam -
They're always gonna tell you that they are the "best", and it's a fault at your end.
Could be that their server is overloaded.
Best thing to do is get a valid sub to a cheap package and share with reliable people, or even borrow a card from someone you know to test your setup although don't know if your receiver can act as a server.
All you need to set up a server of your own (if your receiver is unable to do it) is a pc/laptop (doesn't have to be fast or new) and a card reader. (About €20)
Works out better in the long run and will probably have more fun in the setting up as in the viewing;
Here are some great tutorials on how to set one up:

And here are the basics you will need to know if you are to go down that path:

As for pinpointing your initial problem, could be a number of things, server/ service you use / internet / router. / firmware/ image on receiver/ emualator etc, But you could be chasing your tail only to find out that the problem may not be at your end. -
I run dd-wrt and it does the trick as regards port forwarding, static leases etc.
There is a facility to use it to update your dns (as far as i can remember) but never looked into it as i've a static ip. -
I use r9548 which has worked up to now without a hitch, although only set4nta sub.
If it updates that, couldn't see it not updating your sub. -
Bought from mckee at the start of the month but unable to receive 7w on 1.8m dish, and no hope of 25.5e.
I do not have the room for a 2.4m dish.
Do not purchase unless you can either receive 7w or 25.5e.Quote
I have only ever taken it out of the box just to check that all arrived. Its virtually new.
I'm looking for €80 euro for it (which includes post and packaging to ROI and UK)
It's a good bargain at that.

As far as i can remember, i flashed it that way, but it is a while since i did.
This is how i done it:

QuoteDisplay MoreAs I'm based in Ireland this image is setup to suit satellite on 28e and Irish Terrestrial
What I have confirmed as installed and working:
Working for Irish terrestrial on T+ tuner (works set to Italy, do a full scan if you're not on Cairns Hill)
Working VFD on latest boxes (no red recording icon on latest VFD though)
Oscam (edit your details to the oscam.server file and restart oscam in Alternative SoftCam Manager plugin)
Autobouquets (set to London HD, older version not from repo that adds correct channel numbers in bouquets, 401 SS1 etc)
Rats picon updater (original is not working with this image, I've script modified to suit the location in this image)
Picons (Rats picons for satellite and ones for Irish terrestrial)
Hddmountmanager (external is mounted in /hdd, enable swapfile on first boot)
CrossEPG (daily 7AM)
CoolTVGuide (opens on EPG)
Autotimers
Samba server
Webinterface
Virtual Zap (set to exit button)
Cache flush (set to 15mins)Not included:
1Channel, TSMedia, RTE player etc (I don't usually add them as they do not stay working for long before needing updates)Notes:
A/V is set to 1080p 60hz
Audio is set to AC3 downmix
Streaming and recording two $ channels working
Be sure to create a 256MB swapfile in hddmount manager plugin on first boot (You'll get a green screen on cold boot, but the box boots fine after it restarts)
FTP User: root, pass: blank (to set a pass telnet in and run "passwd root" and it will ask for a pass)
Oscam port: 8888 user: root, pass: oscamTo update the image telnet in and run "./Update_E2.sh"

Try Ftp to temp folder and manually install from blue button
-
The 102 is for the 102e model. (as far a i know, I don't have that model)
Don't try any others as you may get the "ash" error -
On blackhole it goes in the "etc" folder, look for the cccam.cfg file to edit.(will be there if you have installed cccam)

Hi, as I am new to this please can I have assistance by first advising if it matters which card sharing service I use. I ask as the one I have which expires in 6 days
Your better off getting a valid sub to share and will most likely get good quality shares in return.
There are a lot of people on here willing to help you get you going but going down the payserver route is against forum rules.
Have a read here:

Try using a different usb key. Some receivers are picky about certain types of usb keys.
Worth a go. -
Have a read here:

Should put you on the right track.
Also could you pass by here:

and say hello, as per forum rules:
Thanks. -
All a matter of taste really but the easiest to setup would be openvix image.
There are a lot of backup images (images already setup and ready to go) on here aswell.
Maybe give them a whirl before you make up your own mind. -
Your better off getting a cheap subscription card and sharing that in return for more stable shares and it works out better for all in the long run.
And everyone here will be willing to help you get going.
Your solo2 is a n excellent machine, well capable to act as a server aswell as your day to day receiver -
Try Reading the rules again:

Pay especial attention to this one:Quote<2> If you are the supporter of a Pay Server DO NOT ask for support, your request will be ignored.
I've also blanked out line details.
