Hi, are you using right upgrade tool?
There seems to be 2, one for 200 and one for 200 combo.
Here is one for 200.
Also, you need an rs232 null modem cable as a standard rs232 cable won't work ( as far as i know), they are wired slightly different.

I haven't heard anything bad about the miraclebox:
http://www.world-of-satellite.…box-Premium-Mini-HD-Combo
Looks like a decent receiver for the money but i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.
I did have a play with a golden interstar xspeed lx2 with hyperion image loaded and was impressed by it.
The site sponsor hasn't them listed, only the lx3 on their site but it may be worth a call / Pm to them or alternatively a well known auction site.
The lx2 will still function as a dvb-t unit if sat cable is disconnected.
The setup is no more difficult than any linux mips receiver.
It can stream live tv over lan using webif or maybe other plugins.
Not too sure about the plex side of things but i'm fairly sure you can map a nas drive to it and stream from it although i'm open to correction.
You will need to add a hdd or nas drive for recording functionality or time shifting.
Hope it helps. -

Please pop by intros first as per forum rules:

Then, you could try the attached upgrade tool using an rs232 cable and firmware from here:

I don't have one of these but let us know how you get on. -
You can enter up to 4 in each emu.
Go into menu/tools/network local settings
Select desired emu "eg: cccam/newcamd client etc"
Press red button
Just scroll across from server 1 to next vacant server input field. -
Have a look here:

No help for you here!!
Read the rules again!! -
To get shares, you need to give shares!
-
Many people have genuine subscriptions and share those in return for different subscriptions.
The receivers enable people to do this, and are totally customisable (unlike the official ones)
Have a read of this.
It will put you on the right path.

If you don't have any sub, what are you going to share with?
-
Nothing on setanta sports 1 from 1:30 till 6:30, on roi sub.
The northern ire sub may have Gaa on but with agreements between rte and setanta (i think) gaa isn't shown on it while on Rte so just a blank screen.

Probably back now if that was the cause. -
To backup channel list,
Disconnect hdd (if one is connected)
Insert usb key in either front or rear usb.
Goto menu/tools upgrade by usb.
Scroll across from "allcode and bootloader" to "dump"
Bottom of screen should have a file called "dumpfile.abs" or "backup.abs"
This is your channel list.To reload after flash,
Goto menu/tools/upgrade by usb
Scroll across from "allcode and bootloader" to "userdb"
Bottom of screen, select your "backup/dumpfile.abs"
Hit start.
Done. -
The fan openings have a curved edge, your one looks like straight edges.
Also i looks like there is no magnet around the closing front clip from what i can see.
How much did you pay for it may i ask? -
Here's the full solo se spec.
http://www.world-of-satellite.…dvb-c-t-cable-terrestrial -
SoloSE is single tuner.
Solo2 is dual tuner.
Solo2 does not have cable tuner although you may be able to add a usb one.
I have a terestrial usb tuner on mine and works ok. -
Flashed a couple of images from this site recently and found this one is very stable with all the plugins i needed.
I don't have cable but it scans terestrial with no problems.

I had renamed the folder containing the image files from "back-of-e2" to "enigma2" and flashed in rear usb.
It does green screen from cold boot but once it restarts, is very stable, although i have been only running it for 24hrs so far. -

Extract out attached file.
Open the folder it creates and select the file (A202E_20140429_V1.26B3_patch.abs)
Put the file onto a usb key.
Plug in usb key to ariva.
Goto menu/tools/upgrade by usb
Make sure top of screen displays "allcode and bootloader"
Bottom of screen displays "A202E_20140429_V1.26B3_patch.abs"
Hit start.
Ariva will reboot when flashing has completed. -
I have told you this on at least one occasion.
Do Not Use The Erom Upgrader (it will always say wrong file on pacthed files because it is only for original firmware from ferguson)
Use a usb pen drive!
Here (again) is how to update firmware using a usb pen drive.
