Installed the latest vix image 5.0 works lovely (thanks to devs) however is it just me doing something wrong ? where before you could skip through films using the 3/6/9 buttons on the remote now you can do it ONCE? have tried all sorts of configs even went back to earlier builds of the plugin still the same you cant fast forward /rewind through the movie you are watching anybody any ideas where I'm going wrong ?

Well what can I say apart from THANK YOU ( JOKOSAT) a 100% good guy took control of the pc via team viewer and TALKED me through the whole installation process and let me know where I was going wrong thank you so much again ,, its the members of this forum that make the difference for the noobies like me... I am up n running again after JOKOSAT'S hard work ..might sound simple but after 48 hours pulling what hair ive got left out its relaxing sitting back with a cuppa watching the real tv not the council crap lol thanks again m8 your a star cheers rab

Box went doon over the weekend and ive been working like a slave to get it up n running again getting there but its hard work,, I have the same problem as I did before so revisted thread (luckily still there) went through they steps again and no further forward,, now I am not very good at explaining things so please bear with me,, the box in softcam manager has active and underneath that we have select however that's all no wee boxes which normally sit at the side of active and select and no ticks can be applied so as you can tell I am now stumped again can anyone please point me the right direction as I'm losing the will to live lol cheers rab

Thanks guys for all your suggestions I have tried them all and still not succeeded I understand the CCcam part the bit I am struggling with is the softcam manager! I used to get two small boxes in softcam manager and you could start /stop /enable CCcam easily however I'm lost now as I don't have or cant find those boxes? sorry for being a pain cheers again rab

hold the fort ( RESULT) I reflashed box for the umpteenth time and it actually worked so I have been doing something wrong? but thanks again everybody for all your help cheers rab

Ok before anybody mentions spoon feeding i have been at this for days now and my brain has fried so if I’m getting it wrong please bear with me!
I am using vu solo2 with the latest vix image however had to reflash box and thats where i came undone nice shiny new panel!!! So can anybody please tell me where the open vix soft cam is (the thing that puts the two boxes into softcam manager?) as i have tried unsuccessfully for over a week and im stuck watching council telly not good any help appreciated thanks rab ps sorry for popsting in somebodys thread but didn't know where else to go cheers again rab

hi phoenix as usual I got too much time on my hands this time of year and was hunting through the Linux support addons when I noticed the dependencies update so me being me, thought hold it i'm having trouble with that plugin wonder if this is a fix? installed it and found out it didn't fix the issue lol it just froze the box so I've reflashed and back up n running again noo , now looking at what plugins I need thanks rab

thanks ten problem with itv player is it stops playing after 1min 26 seconds on any stream think it be best if I leave it out until you gurus find a fix lol thanks again rab

Hi all when I install the libpython2.7-1.0 from feeds it freezes the box? as in need to reflash as nothing works after a re-boot? am I doing something wrong? latest vix image on a solo2 thanks in advance rab

thanks cazuela after I reflashed box I put media portal plugin in first before the usual list of plugins and hey presto its working thanks for the heads up cheers again rab

hi cazuela I have tried what you recommended however problem still there? I am at a loss as it worked perfectly before the upgrade? have tried removing it again from folder and reinstalled an earlier version but problem still exists whenever I hit search the box crashes? thanks for looking cheers again rab

hi all, since i updated the media portal plugin , i keep getting restarts? if i go to search the box restarts? ive tried taking it back to last stable version but its still happening? im using openvix build 80 anybody any ideas? cheers for looking rab

well took phoenix and wizards advice replaced said dodgy cap with a higher value 1 have to say my m8 done the soldering job as its a biatch too remove motherboard but its done switched on booted up NO PROBLEMS so all working again for now, thanks to everybody who identified the correct capacitor without that info I would still be hunting the problem down and would probably have bought a new psb,, in error so chuffed to bits cheers all rab

hi guru's hope someone can point me in the right direction, I have a vu duo original non clone and everything was working fine until on switching on one morning last week I got a red light only no starting message? I rebooted same result so I left box on and weirdly enough 10 minutes later box sprang into life? so have kept it on standby since eg not powering off on going to bed, however her indoors decided to dust tv and helpfully switched everything off at the plug before doing so! result is a vu duo which now sits and stares defiantly at me with the red led anybody any ideas? im using vix image 808 usually no problems cheers rab

hi all ok so I have reflashed box and I am trying to instal Linux support addons bundle on the vu duo however this is the message I receive?
collected errors:
*wfopen: .ipk: no such file or directory.
*pkg_init_from file: failed to extract control file from .ipk.
execution finished!!
