why not install your own cams, bouquets etc.

    Maybe if you install this

    http://linuxsat-support.com/en…upport-addons-plugin.html

you can install what you need without having to wait for one of the busy staff members to put a backup together.

If you find backing up your softcam configs - putting a couple of files on a USB stick and installing a few plugins difficult, then you will struggle with most things. You have to get your hands dirty to move forward with things. ViX 3.0 is so much better, and you can have it up and running in minutes, with autobouquetsmaker. I have never tried it on 2.4

When you say you can't get it working, elaborate on this? What messages are you getting? It could be that you need to place a file called dvbsnoop in /var/bin/ - but couldn't say unless you explain more.

Hi guys, I found this tutorial in relation to this in case anyone is looking for the same in the future:

Now have a networked drive up and running nicely :)

    Rule 4

<4> DO NOT post links to other forums or boards or attempt to redirect members to any other Satellite related site.

have you actually read the forum rules?

Is that the same forum i got a hostile response for a certain crappy receiver i purchased last year Muso :lolz:

Don't think so, it was another well known forum that is well known for gagging people who criticise the retail operation's wares that it is related to.

independence is important if you want the best advice, that is why we like it here:hello:

I have previously stated that I think it is not great but worth the money, but changed my mind after paying peanuts for things that are miles better!

I bought one of these (well the Eagle mini HD which is the same but smaller) at the beginning of last year - false claims about what it was capable of doing, very bad support for external HDD, problems connecting to my internal network, crashing, lack of support etc etc - to cap this, I got a hostile response form a certain forum (where the developers hang out!) after commenting on the false claims, lack of support for the HDD etc etc!!! - I paid 85 quid for mine when it came out, and sold it 6 weeks later for half that.

So - is it worth the money?

Well it is cheap at 45 quid.

I would say it is worth half that at best, considering that you can pay twice that and get something ten times better.

I would be happy if this fell out of an xmas cracker, and that is about it.

Does anyone know if the firewall of a router would stop my access to the 1channel servers for streaming movies? Mine says Block all Incoming Traffic but am not sure what IP ranges I should have to allow access. I can see in the log that there has been intrusions as below, but I dont understand what they are telling me and what to do to overcome it.

    Jul 11 23:52:42 (none) user.alert kernel: Intrusion -> IN=eth0 OUT= MAC=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx: SRC=209.190.17.24 DST=94.12.115.26 LEN=48 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=121 ID=1885 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=4428 DPT=3389 WINDOW=65535 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0 MARK=0x8000000

Wouldn't make a difference (apart from leaving your own network insecure). When it is blocking incoming traffic it is blocking access to your network. When you are trying to access a stream then you are accessing a remote network. You will often see alerts on your router about incoming requests that are blocked, because there are internet spiders constantly scanning networks all over the interweb:trbtjrjq:, most are "legitimate" (questionable but not an attack) and not worth worrying about.

You can do this so long as you are allowing this to be shared in windows. First of all, go to your network settings and install samba, then you need to go to network browser, browse the network, and you should see the windows share.

I haven't got my receiver that has ViX installed to direct you more with regards to the exact location of the settings you need to access, but it is simple enough to find them in the menus.

Could anyone tell me what the updates are in TSmedia that is accessed from the Updates Option and the press Library. There is about 11 and they refer to Python, Lib and Gst. Also when I press OPKG Update it just says Cannot connect to Remote Host. Any ideas anyone. Switched to this thread as it seems to be specific for TSmedia which I am having problems with on the 1channel plugin attached into it.

I don't think they will work anyway. I tried these and wouldn't install on my NBOX, I think because they are compiled for mipsel architecture. I am running the Nebula Zero image now so I can't double check, but from memory, I think the message I got was suggesting this.

ebay ID 2013mnoor and former member MOHDKALEEM (who we disqualified from the bonus ball draw win) is advertising Amiko Alien 2 backup images for sale on ebay for £2.99. This is the same guy who was buying lines from payservers and reselling them on ebay, which is evident if you look at his ebay profile.

    Code
    http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/2013mnoor

He used to be '2013gifts4u' and '2010kaleem' on ebay

    Beware, because what also concerns me is this;

    Quote

If you need image for any other box let me know

Amiko Alien 2 backup may be his work (but that is doubtable and if it is then he shouldn't be selling it) but I'm sure he doesn't own every receiver!
So if you are creating backup images, beware becauce someone who has no concern apart from making money may be making a profit from your work.

If you need backup images, then they are all here. For free!!

    3. Pictures (please include as many as possible, front/back/top/bottom and also include your forum username on a bit of paper or card with the item(s) )

Above is still required - reason is to ensure they are pics you have taken, Although considering I can see a Vu+ Duo in the background of pic 2, then I am quietly confident:lmao:. but if you could just do that pic with your username - because people have been ripped off before and we have to be consistent with the rules...

If you look at the other ads including mine in this section you will see that even the staff have to oblige!!

    Thanks

That message means that there is a thread that we want you to read, and once you have clicked the link, then it should redirect you to the thread. If it is causing you an issue on taptalk, then if you can, try logging in using a proper browser, click the link, read it and then all should be well. I don't imagine that it will be there for much longer anyway, because the link is to a bonus ball draw and it is nearly sold out.

I will probably reinstall as I back the image up without TSmedia so should be good to go when done. Have you any idea of there are any Ondemand iplayers about that will work with this image as its based on OpenPLI?

I have seen a lot of people saying it doesn't work, but not tested it myself, bt will do when I get a bit more time - I am running Nebula Zero again at the moment, best thing to do is back up and try it!

I don't know - but I know that uninstalling tsmedia removed a lot of my files in the python2.6 directory. It may have replaced them with different versions of what you had. Maybe if you try uninstalling 2.8 and reinstalling 2.5 again it might all work. It will not have anything to do with foreca - as this doesn't replace anything - It just installs in your extensions folder and puts the city/settings folder in /etc/enigma2
