:taxman:ryan - I strongly suggest you read the rules if you want to continue to be a member on this forum.

Do not post clines on the forum, don't ask for help with clines you find off the net, and read the cardsharing sections to understand what cardsharing is. It isn't as simple as finding clines off the internet. This is a hobbyist forum, not a forum to help you get a free lunch. The "free" clines you get from the internet are often from hacked servers and will probably not work, and also bear in mind that we do not support this, or the use of payservers, and you will get no help here if that is your intention.

It is not CCam it is CCcam - CCcam is probably the protocol or software that these payservers are using. If all you are interested in is getting a free lunch or a cheaper lunch you are in the wrong forum. The typical satellite hobbyist may receive sly uk as well as other channels across Europe and they would in most cases have spent a lot more money than it would cost to get a legit sly sub.

People are missing Satellite BG - 23.5e - has good mix of films and docs - English language, and also with Live Premier League inc. 3pms - (albeit in Bulgarian) - I picked mine up on auction site for £250 for a year.

judgey - I did send you the link in another thread to the cardsharing section. Yes you are right if you type in F5 on youtube it will probably get you to a payserver advert or something like that, that is the problem with these receivers, they are often sold with "gifts" or "Guarantee" - which is basically connecting you to a payserver, and because they are closed source, they tempt the user into paying for a cline rather than getting properly involved in the hobby.

We do not like payservers in this forum for a number of reasons, and because too many of these are ripping off sly UK, they are forced to act and try to prevent this, therefore, those who are cardsharing the traditional hobbiest way will lose out.

The idea of cardsharing is usually based around having a dish that can pick up more than one satellite, such as a motorised dish or one with more than one LNB so to pick up more than one satellite. The concept is, you have a card that can clear say, a german provider, and your friend has a card that can clear swedish pay channels. You both connect to each other, and therefore you then both get both providers, and so on. By installing a linux server and investing in a cardreader, or (bit late now) if you bought an enigma based receiver rather than an F5, you could acheive this.

If you have only got a sly minidish then although it is still possible to buy and use a foreign satellite card on a server, and share this, your only benefit would be to be able to share with someone who has sly UK on their server. It is fair to say that most people who have F5 boxes are probably using payservers (not all, before people jump down my throat!), and this is a sorry state of affairs. Sly will probably not be working in sharing for much longer, so I predict a lot of cheap receivers will be around for auction before long.

You can configure autotimer to poll regularly at intervals. What this does is checks for new events based on the timers you have set. As far as I recall, on the BH image the Autotimer is on the Plugins menu (as oppsed to the 'timers' menu in ViX) - so select this, and when in Autotimer, press menu on your remote, select setup, and then enable poll automatically,m and set your poll interval. You would only need to poll once per day or so, as the EPG would not usually update more than this, and you will usually only be needing to pick up events several days in the future.

How long does the transition from broadband to fibre take?

All I can say to this is I hope you don't have the same experience as I had:rant:

Supposed to be done in half a day, but I was without broadband for nearly 2 weeks, however I changed providers at the same time as upgrading to fibre so if you are already with Plusnet at least you should keep the ADSL if things go tits up!

I have first hand experience - Using the router now - firstly bear in mind that you will only be able to use 3 LAN ports, but you can get around this by using any old router as a bridge, which is what I have done, via homeplugs, so I have 2 ports available in one room, and 3 in another!

forwarding ports is fine, and simple once you realise how. Rules are configured in "Game & Application Sharing" - and you can also fix devices to specific IP addresses.

I have made do with the tg582n, so it may well suit your needs. You also have a USB port and an FTP server built in so you can have a USB HDD plugged straight in the router and access it over the internet via FTP.

Also bear in mind - if you get stuck, I have the router, so you can flex your VIP status muscles and give me a shout:red:

I have found the same - I have the 256MB model, but I have heard that the 512MB is still the same. It fairs better on SD format, but unfortunately the Rasbperry Pi doesn't quite cut it as a streaming client. Best to stick to Android Smart TV devices for now for this particular use.

I take it you have you verified the IP address on your receiver, and you are using this when trying to connect with ftp?

Can you use telnet to connect to the receiver? What messages are you getting when you try to connect via FTP? Where did you get the BH image you are using? If it was a special backup image then the password could be different to what you expect.

    Oscam support-tutorials-config

check the tutorials above for oscam support, and also the oscam wiki - link at the top of the forum. This thread is getting a bit messy, as a lot of the posts are for pure oscam related help. If the Raspberry Pi server is working, and if it is just a Oscam config issue then look in the above sections, and post requests for help there instead of here, you would probably get a better response.:firework:

have to laugh at peoples responces to my post but not to sound rude , but obviously you lot know exactly what the problem is. so come up with what the problem is and explain otherwise

promo7uk We don't know what is causing your problem because you have mentioned a problem and in the same post you have claimed to have found the reason for the problem, so no one can give you any alternative suggestions to your theory. I am not sure what else you expected when making your post, as you were just making a statement, without any sources, and asking us for our view - well, you asked for views and that is what you got. You were not asking for help.

If you are asking for other people's opinions about something that sounds outlandish, without anything to back up your theory then I am struggling to think what other kind of response you expected.

dyndns address would be referring to a dynamic dns address service, whereby the IP address that your ISP assigns to you (which isn't usually static) is linked to a fixed address. You would only need to do this if you are trying to access the stream from outside your own LAN.

When it asks for he IP address, you need to enter the IP address of the receiver, and this goes for if you are using the app inside your own LAN.

Unbelieveable mucker. Changed my au = from 1 to ***uk and an hour before they expired they all updated to 16-6. Happy days

    Probably a coincidence - below from oscam wiki;

    Quote

au = [label of reader] # sending EMMs to specified reader
(security issue: clients can see SC data!)
au = 1 # auto AU is sending EMMs to all readers
(security issue: clients can see SC data!)

Both should work equally the same, but with au = 1 all EMMs will be sent to all readers.

We have no information at all about anything apart from you posted a very brief unrelated question on an existing thread which I had to move.

I take it you have a Linux PC server you are trying to get working because you posted it in that section - the rest is a mystery. It would be a great help if you elaborate.
